Tragic Accident: Six Lose Lives in Dehradun Car Crash

Dehradun, Uttarakhand: A horrific car accident on Wednesday claimed the lives of six people in the Teuni police station area of Dehradun's Jaunsar region. The incident occurred when a car carrying seven individuals plunged into a deep ditch near Hansyun village.

According to authorities, an Alto car (UK-07-DU-4719) traveling from Pandranu, Himachal Pradesh, towards Dasaun lost control and skidded off the road, leading to the fatal fall. Six passengers, identified as 35-year-old Sanju, Suraj, 24-year-old Sheetal, 21-year-old Sanjana, 10-year-old Divyansh, and 5-year-old Yash, were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. All the deceased were residents of Sainj village in Himachal Pradesh.

The sole survivor of the accident, the car driver, 36-year-old Jeet Bahadur, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Government Primary Health Centre in Tuni for treatment. Police officials arrived at the scene and, with the assistance of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local residents, retrieved the bodies from the ditch.

Following necessary legal procedures, the bodies were sent to the Tuni health center for further action. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Teuni police station. This tragic event has cast a shadow over the communities involved, and local authorities are offering support to the families of the deceased.
