Prime Minister Modi Boosts Railway Expansion, Vows to Tackle Leakages and Scams

New Delhi, February 26 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for nearly 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore via video conferencing on Monday. Highlighting the government's focus on preventing leakages and scams, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that these efforts have significantly accelerated the pace of railway expansion compared to pre-2014 levels.

Prime Minister Modi underscored the importance of these projects in providing new employment opportunities for the youth, stating, "Developed India is the India of young aspirations." He assured the youth that their aspirations are his resolve and that their dreams, coupled with his determination, will guarantee a 'Developed India'.

The Prime Minister emphasized that modern infrastructure facilities are crucial for attracting investment and announced plans to modernize thousands of stations over the next five years. This, he believes, will revolutionize Indian Railways and attract significant investment.

Describing the program as a symbol of the new India's working style, Prime Minister Modi stated that India is now working at an unprecedented level and pace, aiming for ambitious dreams and realizing them swiftly.

Expressing confidence in his government's return, Prime Minister Modi promised to further expand and accelerate development in the next term, which is set to begin in June. He highlighted the massive rejuvenation efforts underway, including the modernization of over 550 railway stations in more than 300 districts across 27 states, as well as the construction of over 1,500 roads, overbridges, and underpasses.

The Prime Minister praised the remarkable progress made in the railways over the last decade, noting that what was once considered imagination is now becoming a reality. He cited examples such as the modern train 'Amrit Bharat' and the luxurious rail service 'Namo Bharat', highlighting the doubled pace of laying new railway lines and the expanded reach of Indian Railways from Jammu and Kashmir to the North-East.
