Identities of Jaunpur Accident Victims Confirmed, CM Offers Condolences
Six Laborers Killed in Head-On Collision
Jaunpur, February 26 : The identities of the six laborers who lost their lives in a tragic accident near Jaunpur on Sunday night have been confirmed by the police. Three others were seriously injured in the collision between a tractor-trolley and a roadways bus.
Details of the Accident
The accident occurred near Samadhganj market in the Sikrara police station area on Sunday night. As per reports, the tractor-trolley carrying seven laborers returning home from a construction site collided head-on with a Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation bus traveling in the opposite direction.
Devastating Loss
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Rural, Shelendra Kumar Singh, five laborers died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries during treatment. All the deceased were identified as residents of nearby villages, with four hailing from the same village.

- Neeraj Saroj (28), son of Punnilal, Alisahpur village
- Rajesh Saroj (45), son of Tej Bahadur, Alisahpur village
- Sangram Vishwakarma (25), son of Rajesh Vishwakarma, Alisahpur village
- Chani Musahar (30), Veerpalpur village
- Atul Saroj (30), son of Ramashankar, Alisahpur village
- Govinda Bind (30), son of Ramchandra Bind, Bathuwar village
Injured Receiving Treatment:
The three injured individuals, Arvind Prajapati, Pankaj Saroj, and Saroj (daughter of Ram Kewal), are reportedly receiving medical attention and their condition is being monitored.
CM Offers Condolences
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deep sorrow and offered his condolences to the families of the deceased. The authorities have assured proper assistance to the affected families during this difficult time.
