PM Modi launches development projects in Gujarat, emphasizes decentralization of government
Rajkot - Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating several development projects in Rajkot, Gujarat, emphasized the government's decentralization efforts, stating that his administration has extended its reach to every corner of the country. Addressing the gathering, he expressed gratitude for the widespread support, noting that the entire nation is backing the NDA government for the third consecutive term, showing a remarkable "400% confidence."
The Prime Minister underscored the shift from the traditional practice of holding major government events exclusively in Delhi, stating that the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies for development projects across cities are establishing a new norm. He highlighted the government's commitment to taking India's progress beyond the capital and into the heartlands.
During the event, PM Modi virtually inaugurated five new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot, Gujarat; Bathinda, Punjab; Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh; Kalyani, West Bengal; and Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. He praised the rapid pace of development in India, particularly in the healthcare sector, emphasizing its importance for the world's fifth-largest economy. Modi credited India's successful battle against COVID-19 to the transformation of the country's healthcare system over the past decade.
Reflecting on his political journey, the Prime Minister acknowledged Rajkot's significant role, noting that the city marked a crucial milestone in his early political career. He recalled his election as MLA from Rajkot 22 years ago on 24th February and his oath-taking ceremony in the Assembly on 25th February, highlighting the city's enduring support and contribution to his political life.
Modi also highlighted the government's commitment to healthcare, noting that prior to his tenure, there was only one AIIMS in Delhi, established 50 years after independence. He emphasized the significant progress made in the last 10 days, with the foundation stone laid for seven new AIIMS, surpassing the number established in the previous seven decades. The Prime Minister reiterated the government's dedication to accelerating India's development, pledging to deliver progress to the people at an unprecedented pace.
