Bhupendra Patel Inaugurates "Khele Sanand-Sports League," Encourages Youth Participation in Sports
Gujarat Chief Minister Urges Children to Prioritize Sports, Reduce Phone Use, and Maintain Cleanliness
Gandhinagar - Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the "Khele Sanand-Sports League" organized by the Vijay Bharat Foundation at Sanskaardham Campus in Ahmedabad on Saturday. The initiative aims to promote sports participation and healthy habits among children.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of sports in every child's life. He urged them to participate actively in physical activities, even suggesting that they begin preparing for the 2036 Olympic Games, which are set to be held in India.
Patel further interacted with the children, encouraging them to limit their mobile phone usage and prioritize playing outdoors. He also stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness, advising them to always dispose of waste responsibly.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the "Modi Guarantee," highlighting the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfilling his promises and leading India towards development. He further lauded Union Home Minister Amit Shah's dedication to his parliamentary constituency, including organizing the successful MP Sports Competition.
The "Khele Sanand-Sports League" features participation from over 1500 students from 60 urban and rural schools in Sanand. The League includes three sports: Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Volleyball. During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with the coaches and players of the Kabaddi and Kho-Kho teams and even inaugurated a match by performing the coin toss.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Sanand MLA Kanubhai Desai, Ahmedabad District BJP President Harsh Giri Goswami, Sanand Tehsil Development Officer Neeraj Barot, Sanskardham President Dr. RK Shah, Vijay Bharat Foundation President Jalaj Dani, and Director Durgesh Aggarwal, along with school teachers and students.
This initiative by the Gujarat government and the Vijay Bharat Foundation is a commendable effort to foster a culture of sportsmanship, physical activity, and responsible citizenship among the youth.
