PM Modi to Inaugurate, Lay Foundation Stones for Rs 48,000 Crore Projects in Rajkot
Inaugural AIIMS, New Highways, and Power Projects Highlight Development Push
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajkot, Gujarat, on February 25th to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various development projects worth over Rs 48,000 crore. This visit underlines the government's commitment to infrastructural advancement and healthcare access in the state.
Healthcare at the Forefront
One of the highlights will be the inauguration of the Rajkot AIIMS, the first state-of-the-art AIIMS in Gujarat. This 250-bed facility promises to provide advanced medical care to the region. Additionally, the Prime Minister will be inaugurating four other AIIMS across the country.
Boosting Infrastructure and Energy
PM Modi will also inaugurate a major transmission scheme facilitating the evacuation of 3 GW renewable energy in the state. Alongside this, he will lay the foundation stone for several power projects, including renewable energy parks, pooling stations, and wind and solar energy initiatives, totaling an estimated cost of over Rs 15,000 crore.
Connecting Communities
The Prime Minister's visit also includes the inauguration of two newly built highways in Bhavnagar and the laying of the foundation stone for a six-lane highway in Kutch. These projects, with a combined cost exceeding Rs 3,800 crore, aim to improve regional connectivity and promote tourism.
Other Development Initiatives
The visit will also witness the inauguration and foundation laying of various projects under health & family welfare, labor & employment, tourism, water supply, and other departments, totaling an estimated cost of over Rs 26,000 crore. This highlights the government's comprehensive approach to development across diverse sectors.
