Mumbai : The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards, considered one of the most prestigious in Indian cinema, unfolded in Mumbai recently, showcasing the best of Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. While renowned artists graced the event, it was Bollywood's "King Khan," Shah Rukh Khan, who stole the spotlight, bagging the coveted Best Actor Award for his performance in the film "Jawan."

Held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, the ceremony witnessed a dazzling array of celebrities, including Rani Mukerji, Bobby Deol, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Nayanthara. While everyone looked their best, Shah Rukh Khan's camaraderie with Rani Mukerji, with whom he posed for pictures, stole the hearts of fans and made headlines.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the award winners. Shah Rukh Khan emerged victorious in the Best Actor category for his role in "Jawan," marking a triumphant year for the superstar. 2023 saw three of his films – "Jawan," "Pathan," and "Dunki" – become box office hits, keeping him in the spotlight throughout the year.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan's win, Nayanthara bagged the Best Actress award for her performance in "Young," while Bobby Deol's powerful portrayal in "Animal" earned him the Best Villain trophy. The film's director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also walked away with the Best Director award. Vicky Kaushal received the Best Actor (Critics) award for his work in "Sam Bahadur."

While Shah Rukh Khan dominated the awards, Ranbir Kapoor's film "Animal" generated considerable buzz. Bobby Deol's stellar performance in the film surprised and impressed audiences, creating anticipation for the release.
