Nine Killed in Tragic Road Accident in Lakhisarai, Bihar
Patna, Bihar: A horrific road accident in Lakhisarai district, Bihar, claimed the lives of nine people on Wednesday morning. A CNG tempo carrying 14 passengers collided head-on with a truck near Jhalauna village, leaving five others critically injured.
Fatal Impact: The impact of the collision was severe, leaving the tempo completely destroyed. Eight passengers died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries during treatment. The remaining five injured, whose condition is critical, have been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) from Sadar Hospital.
Driver Among the Victims: Tragically, the tempo driver, Manoj Kumar, was also among the deceased. According to his brother-in-law and eyewitness, Anil Misri, the accident occurred while Kumar was transporting passengers from Halsi to Lakhisarai.
Investigation and Support: Local police are investigating the cause of the accident. Families of the deceased, residing in Munger, have been informed. Efforts are underway to identify the purpose of the passengers' journey from Halsi.
