Patna, February 20: Elections for six Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar concluded today, with all candidates winning unopposed.
Party-Wise Representation:
- Two seats went to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with Bhim Singh and Dharamsheela Gupta securing their nominations.
- The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also claimed two seats through Manoj Jha and Sanjay Yadav, close to Tejashwi Yadav.
- The Janata Dal (United) (JDU) and the Congress each received one seat, represented by Sanjay Kumar Jha and Akhilesh Prasad Singh respectively.
Akhilesh Singh Retains Seat, Sanjay Jha Makes Debut:
- Notably, Congress state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh secured a second consecutive term in the Rajya Sabha, further solidifying his party's presence.
- JDU's Sanjay Kumar Jha, a prominent leader, marked his entry into the upper house.
