Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel of Gujarat hosted a delegation of World Bank officials and education ministers from over 13 countries, including Asia and Africa, who are on a week-long tour of the state to learn about its education transformation journey. The Chief Minister described the meeting as a "remarkably positive experience."
During the interaction, Patel provided detailed insights into Gujarat's education evolution over the past two decades, emphasizing the initial inspiration drawn from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He also showcased the state's ambitious initiatives, "Mission Schools of Excellence" and "Vidya Samiksha Kendra," aimed at achieving educational excellence.
"Vidya Samiksha Kendra" serves as the central hub for real-time monitoring of various aspects related to government schools across the state, including student attendance, school administration, and quality standards. This centralized system offers significant benefits to students, parents, and teachers, leading to enhanced educational quality.
Impressed by the system's success, the visiting delegation expressed a strong desire to replicate the "Vidya Samiksha Kendra" model in their respective countries. The Chief Minister, on behalf of the Gujarat government, readily pledged all necessary support and assistance to facilitate this objective.
The meeting was attended by Education Minister Kuberbhai Dindor, Minister of State Praful Panseria, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister K. Kailashnathan, Education Secretary Vinod Rao, and other senior officials.
