PM Modi inaugurates new IIT Patna buildings, IIM Bodh Gaya campus, and Bhagalpur Triple IT
Patna : Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 24 new buildings at IIT Patna, the permanent campus of IIM Bodh Gaya, and the Bhagalpur Triple IT institute on Tuesday. The ceremony also saw the participation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who joined via video conferencing from the Bihar Assembly.
This marks a significant development for higher education in Bihar, providing students with enhanced facilities across these institutions. The newly constructed buildings at IIT Patna, built at a cost of Rs 466 crore, include an Academic Block, Central Library, Hostel, Central Lecture Hall, and Student Activity Centre. Established in 2008 thanks to the Chief Minister's efforts, IIT Patna has steadily grown, and this permanent campus further strengthens its infrastructure.
Similarly, the inauguration of the IIM Bodh Gaya campus offers modern smart classrooms and a library, while the Bhagalpur Triple IT building, constructed at a cost of Rs 128 crore, provides improved facilities for students in the region.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Science, Technology, and Technical Education Minister Sumit Kumar Singh also participated in the virtual ceremony, marking the government's commitment to educational advancement in Bihar.
