Actor Rituraj Singh Passes Away at 59, Battled Pancreatic Illness Before Cardiac Arrest

Mumbai : Veteran TV and film actor Rituraj Singh passed away on Monday night at the age of 59 due to a cardiac arrest. The news was confirmed by his close friend and actor Amit Bahl.

Singh had been battling a pancreatic ailment for some time and was recently hospitalized for treatment. He reportedly suffered the cardiac arrest while returning home.

Throughout his career, Singh graced both the small and big screens. He was known for his roles in popular television shows like "Apni Baat," "Jyoti," "Hitler Didi," "Shapath," "Warrior High," "Aahat," "Adaalat," and "Diya Aur Baati Hum." He also found recent success playing Vanraj's friend in the hit Star Plus serial "Anupamaa" alongside Rupali Ganguly.

His film credits included appearances in "Badrinath Ki Dulhania," "Satyamev Jayate 2," "Thunivu," "Jersey," and "Hum Tum Aur Ghost." He most recently portrayed the character of Rafiq in Rohit Shetty's web series "Indian Police Force," which premiered in January this year.

Bahl expressed his grief over Singh's passing, stating, "Rituraj Singh died of cardiac arrest. He was admitted to the hospital some time ago for treatment of a pancreatic ailment. He suffered a cardiac arrest while returning home."

The sudden passing of Rituraj Singh has left the Indian film and television industry mourning. His contributions to both mediums will be remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
