Ahemdabad : Over 5,000 employees working in Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar administrative offices can now rejoice! Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated 70 new buses for the Secretariat Point service today, easing daily commutes and offering improved transportation options for citizens visiting the state capital.

The initiative, launched in the presence of Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary and cabinet ministers, aims to enhance employee convenience and cater to the needs of citizens traveling to Gandhinagar for official purposes. These additional buses complement the existing robust Gujarat State Road Transport (ST) Corporation fleet of over 8,000 buses, which cover 33 lakh kilometers daily and carry an impressive 25 lakh passengers.

"The ST Corporation strives to provide safe, punctual, and reliable services to our passengers," stated Ashok Sharma, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of ST Corporation. "Adding these new buses specifically for the Secretariat Point service demonstrates our commitment to catering to the diverse needs of our community."

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of Transport Department MK Das, senior officials, MLAs, and other dignitaries. This development marks a significant step towards facilitating smoother commutes and ensuring efficient transportation within the Gandhinagar area.
