Islamabad, January 16 – A boat carrying 80 migrants, including 66 Pakistanis, capsized off the coast of Morocco while en route to Spain, leaving over 40 Pakistanis dead. Authorities and migrant rights group 'Walking Borders' provided updates on the tragic incident on Thursday.

The ill-fated boat, which departed from Mauritania on January 2, was carrying 86 migrants, mostly from Pakistan. Moroccan authorities managed to rescue 36 individuals from the boat a day earlier. However, over 50 migrants are feared drowned.
