New Delhi, March 1 : The Indian Navy is showcasing its growing maritime prowess with a series of key developments.

Twin Carrier Operations and Commander's Conference:

• INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya, India's two aircraft carriers, are set to embark on their first joint operations off Lakshadweep.
• This marks a significant step for the Indian Navy and signifies its enhanced operational capability.
• Additionally, the top brass of the Navy will gather for a crucial conference aboard these carriers to discuss strategic planning and preparedness.

New Naval Base in Lakshadweep:

• The Indian Navy is establishing a new base, INS Jatayu, in Minicoy Island, Lakshadweep.
• This strategically located base will serve as a crucial outpost for monitoring the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and keeping a watchful eye on potential adversaries.
• Initially, the base will operate with a limited personnel but will eventually expand into a larger facility, mirroring the capabilities of INS Baaz in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Induction of MH-60 Romeo Helicopters:

• The Indian Navy is bolstering its anti-submarine warfare capabilities with the induction of four MH-60 Romeo helicopters at the Naval Air Station, Kochi.
• These state-of-the-art helicopters, nicknamed "flying frigates," are equipped with advanced technology like night vision, weaponry, and powerful sensors, making them formidable assets in maritime operations.
• The remaining helicopters from the 24-unit deal with the US are expected to be delivered by 2025, significantly enhancing India's maritime security posture in the Indo-Pacific region.

The sustainability-focused development will aim to create minimal footprint while preserving the fragile eco-system in yet another unexplored location.

Moduco, a modular infra brand, on the other hand aims to manufacture 300 – 400 villas as manufacturing partner for such hotel companies and builders, which can be executed in 1-1.5 years of time, half as compared to traditional construction.
