New Delhi, March 18 – Tata Motors announced on Tuesday its plans to increase the prices of its passenger vehicles, including electric vehicles, starting next month. This will be the company’s second price hike this year.

As per agency report, Tata Motors stated that the price adjustment is being implemented to partially offset the impact of rising raw material costs. The extent of the price increase will vary depending on the model and variant. However, the company has not disclosed specific details regarding the proposed hike.

Earlier in January, Tata Motors had raised passenger vehicle prices by up to three percent. The company had also announced on Monday that it would increase the prices of its commercial vehicles by up to two percent from April.

Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki India has also revealed plans to increase the prices of all its models by up to four percent next month, reflecting the broader industry trend of price revisions due to rising input costs.

New Delhi, Feb 13 (IANS) Tata Motors on Tuesday cut the prices of its electric cars by up to Rs 1.20 lakh as the company passed on to consumers the decline in the cost of battery cells of electric vehicles.

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility will now sell its top-selling Nexon.ev at Rs 14.5 lakh -- down by Rs 20,000 -- while the price of its small electric car Tiago was reduced by Rs 70,000. The price of the long-range Nexon EV will now start at Rs 16.99 lakh.

"With battery cell prices having softened in the recent past and considering their potential reduction in the foreseeable future, we have chosen to proactively pass on the resulting benefits directly to customers," Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at the TPG-backed company said in a Press release.

Mumbai, Dec 26 (IANS) Tata Motors -- India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer -- announced on Tuesday that it has secured an order from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to supply 1,350 diesel bus chassis.

“This order to supply Tata LPO 1618 bus chassis was won by Tata Motors following a competitive e-bidding process conducted via the Government tendering process and the bus chassis will be supplied in a phased manner,” the company said.

Pune/Chennai, Oct 23 (IANS) Automotive major Tata Motors Ltd said on Monday that it has unveiled two research and development (R&D) facilities in Pune.

According to the company, the centres are an engine test cell for development of Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine and the necessary infrastructure for storage and dispensing of Hydrogen fuel for the Fuel Cell and H2ICE vehicles.

“We believe Hydrogen to be the fuel of the future, especially for commercial vehicles. With the opening of this dedicated R&D facility to develop and indigenise Hydrogen propulsion technology, we are entering a new era of technological innovations and advancements in green mobility.

"The resulting benefits from an altogether new class of powertrains and engines will take our customers and our nation future forward,” said Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors.

“This is a significant moment for us as we create Hydrogen-based internal combustion engine development facility and the associated infrastructure for fuel storage and dispensing at our Engineering Research Centre,” added Rajendra Petkar, President & CTO.

Tata Motors had showcased one of the widest range of commercial vehicle concepts at the Auto Expo 2023 held earlier this year.

It included the flagship Prima tractor, a heavy commercial vehicle in two avatars -- one with a Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine and the other with Fuel Cell Technology along with the next generation Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus.

On September 25, the company had delivered two first-of-its-kind Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered buses to Indian Oil Corporation as part of a tender bagged in 2021.

Mumbai, Oct 19 (IANS) Tata Motors has acquired a 26.79 per cent stake in digital platform Freight Commerce Solutions Private Limited (‘Freight Tiger’) for Rs 150 crore, the company stated in filing with the stock exchange on Thursday.

xThe Securities Subscription Agreement has a provision to enable Tata Motors to invest another Rs 100 crore over the next two years, at the then prevailing market price.

‘Freight Tiger’ is an online platform that provides end-to-end logistics value chain solutions for cargo movement in the country. It connects shippers, carriers, logistics service providers and fleet owners to a single digital marketplace.

Commenting on the acquisition, Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors Ltd said: “We believe that by playing a larger and deeper role in bringing all the stakeholders together to improve road logistics efficiency, we can create value for our core customers: the fleet owners.

Chennai, Oct 13 (IANS) Automobile major Tata Motors Ltd on Friday said it will sell its 9 per cent stake in Tata Technologies Ltd to TPG Rise Climate for Rs.1,467 crore

It also said it will sell 0.9 per cent stake in Tata Technologies to Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation for Rs 146.7 crore.

In sum, Tata Motors will be raking in Rs.1,613.7 crore from these two transactions with its subsidiary Rs 4,414.18 crore turnover Tata Technologies' equity valued at Rs.16,300 crore.

In a regulatory filing, Tata Motors said that share purchase agreements with TPG Rise Climate and Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation have been inked.

According to Tata Motors the transaction to be completed by October 27 or such other date as may be mutually extended by the parties.
