New Delhi: The increasing acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among companies has specifically impacted entry-level recruitments. A recent report has concluded that the integration of AI is shifting hiring priorities across the sector, leading to notable changes in how organizations approach their workforce requirements.

According to a study conducted by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) with support from OpenAI, the adoption of AI is altering recruitment trends. As per agency report, the study indicates that sixty-three percent of companies have reported an increased demand for employees who possess domain expertise combined with AI or data skills, as these technologies become integrated into their core operations.

The report, titled 'AI and Jobs: This Time is No Different', provides an assessment of the company-level acceptance of Gen AI in India to date. The study was conducted between November 2025 and January 2026 and includes responses from 650 information technology companies across ten cities in India. It observed that companies have noted a slight reduction in hiring, which is primarily visible at the entry level, while recruitment at the middle and top levels has remained stable.

The findings suggest that demand has surged the most in areas requiring AI capabilities, such as software developers and database administrators. Furthermore, the report highlights that in over 1,900 business segments most affected by AI, the increase in productivity significantly outweighs any decline.

regarding workforce development, more than half of the surveyed companies stated that they are already facilitating AI adoption through awareness programs or training, while another thirty-eight percent mentioned they are preparing to do so. However, the report points out that the scope of training is currently limited, as only a few companies indicated that more than half of their workforce had received AI-related training during the previous year.

The initiative has been undertaken under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister to accelerate the national AI ecosystem and boost research efforts. As per agency report, the IAIRO will commence operations as a Special Purpose Vehicle from January 1 at GIFT City near Gandhinagar. It will be constituted as a non-profit institution under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.

A budget of approximately Rs 300 crore has been allocated for the first five years of the project. The funding structure involves an equal contribution of 33.33 percent each from the state government, the central government, and the private partner. The Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance has joined as the principal private partner and will contribute Rs 25 crore for the year 2025-26. The alliance comprises about 23 major pharmaceutical companies, including Cipla, Torrent Pharma, and Sun Pharma.

This initiative by Gujarat aligns with the objectives of the India AI Mission of the Union Ministry of Information Technology and the AI Action Plan of the state government's Department of Science and Technology. The core activities of IAIRO will encompass advanced research and development, the creation of AI-based products, and the promotion of collaboration among educational institutions, industries, and startups. Additionally, the institute will focus on intellectual property creation and capacity building.

Today leaders are driving their teams in a work environment that keeps changing at a rapid pace. Talk in companies is no longer just about performance and planning. They now also discuss new tools, smart systems, and the way work can be facilitated by technology. As a result of this change, AI literacy has become an integral part of leadership in the modern world. A lot of top-level executives are willing to take an ai for leaders program or an ai course for leaders to figure out how these tech innovations affect management, strategies, and employees.

AI is not replacing leadership. It is shaping a new form of leadership that is more informed, thoughtful, and future ready.

Why Leaders Need to Understand AI

AI's everywhere these days. A boss who gets how it ticks can read data smarter, lead teams clearer, and make solid calls. Plus, they'll spot chances others miss.

Think of a store manager who used to rely on old-school customer reports. Once they got the hang of AI basics, they started using simple prediction tools to figure out buying habits. These insights helped the team plan way better campaigns. The manager didn't turn into a tech guru but got comfy enough to use the tools in a useful way.

Grasping AI helps leaders drop the guessing games and think smarter. It helps teams talk more openly 'cause the leader can guide tech talks without sweat.

How AI Strengthens Leadership Decision Making

AI brings clarity, especially during uncertain moments. When leaders understand what AI can and cannot do, they are able to evaluate risks more responsibly. They can also recognise when human judgement is needed and when technology can support.

Some areas where AI understanding improves decision making include:

• Interpreting complex data in simpler ways
• Evaluating trends in customer behaviour
• Identifying early signals of market shifts
• Exploring smarter solutions for daily operations
• Supporting teams in using digital tools effectively

A marketing head once shared that learning basic AI concepts helped them ask better questions in meetings. Instead of relying only on opinions, they encouraged the team to examine patterns suggested by AI tools. This shifted the entire team to a more analytical and balanced approach.

How AI Improves Team Collaboration

When leaders get AI, the vibe changes. Teams feel like they've got support while they're trying out new stuff. This chills everyone out and gets them curious.

Take this team, for example. They started using this AI writing thing for drafts. At first, some people were like, Uh, I don't know... So their leader jumped into the training, checked out the features with everyone else, and even shared notes from an AI course they took. This got the team playing around with it without worry. Soon enough, the tool turned out to be a real help—less work, better quality.

Leaders who get AI turn into better mentors. They can break stuff down simply, help people adjust, and keep things responsible with tech.

Why AI Understanding Matters for Organisational Growth

Future ready organisations look for leaders who can blend technology with human values. AI alone cannot create progress. It needs thoughtful direction from leaders who understand long term goals.

Organisations benefit when leaders have AI knowledge because it helps in:

• Building strategies that are aligned with future trends
• Understanding which tools are worth investing in
• Encouraging teams to adopt responsible and ethical practices
• Creating smoother workflows with improved efficiency
• Remaining adaptable when industries evolve

During a leadership retreat in a service based company, one senior leader explained how AI helped them redesign customer support. They used AI tools to identify common customer concerns and trained the team to handle difficult cases with more clarity. This balanced approach raised team confidence and improved the customer experience. It happened because the leader understood how to combine human insight with intelligent tools.

How AI Helps Leaders Build Ethical and Responsible Workplaces

AI is cool but it means we have to be careful. Leaders should get what's fair, open, and who's in charge when they use it. Or else, groups might mess up and be unfair or confusing.

Ai course for leaders, they see stuff like using data right, keeping secrets safe, and being smart about making things automatic. Then they can make rules that keep people safe but still let new ideas in.

People at work feel better when their bosses think about how to use tech. Trust gets stronger, and that makes the workplace a good place to be.

The New Identity of Future Ready Leaders

Modern leaders are not defined only by experience or authority. They are defined by their willingness to learn, adapt, and guide with clarity. AI understanding has become a core part of this identity.

A future ready leader:

• Learns continuously
• Encourages teams to explore new tools
• Balances human values with digital progress
• Makes decisions based on insight, not assumption
• Builds a culture where technology supports people

AI knowledge does not require deep technical expertise. It requires openness, curiosity, and the willingness to grow with the world.

Conclusion

AI is changing what we expect from leaders. Companies want leaders who can predict what's coming, get how smart systems work, and lead teams well. That's why many people are checking out learning programs, like AI for leaders courses, to get a better handle on things.
AI isn't taking over leadership. It's changing the game. Leaders who learn about AI are in a better spot to build strong, ethical, and forward-thinking companies. They build trust, help people grow, and make workspaces where people and tech work together.

Surat, November 27: The pace of learning and adopting artificial intelligence in Surat has accelerated significantly following the availability of free versions of advanced AI tools from both domestic and international sources. With the rising popularity of platforms such as ChatGPT Go, Gemini Banana, and Zoho, the smart city has once again emerged as a frontrunner nationwide in adopting new technology.

The textile industry, a cornerstone of the city's economy, is witnessing a major transformation where there is no longer a need to book models in Mumbai or conduct expensive photoshoots. Artificial intelligence is now capable of generating premium catalogs within a few clicks. As per agency report, a local textile trader noted that while booking models for catalog shoots used to cost between five thousand and seventy-five thousand rupees, AI now creates even more aesthetically pleasing catalogs in just ten minutes at a negligible cost, proving to be a significant game-changer for the trade.

Beyond commerce, the technology has seamlessly integrated into households, effectively becoming a personal digital chef in local kitchens. Instead of relying on television shows, women are now turning to tools like ChatGPT to request step-by-step instructions for dishes such as Paneer Lababdar. The AI instantly provides recipes tailored to the ingredients available in the home. A housewife participating in a recent session shared that she now possesses a personal masterchef that offers recipes in Gujarati, enabling the preparation of new dishes every day.

To foster this technological wave, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organized an eight-day workshop titled AI in Action at the Samruddhi Building in Nanpura. Conducted by renowned AI communication coach Bhikhkumar Vaghasia, the daily morning sessions focused on the practical use of generative AI in business, digital marketing automation, content and video creation, business presentations, pitch decks, logo design, and even creating personalized birthday songs.

The workshop attracted a diverse group of participants, including textile business owners, digital marketing professionals, startup founders, coaches, trainers, food manufacturers, and a large number of housewives. Attendees learned to create premium catalogs, video reels, marketing plans, and personalized content in a matter of minutes. This initiative by the SGCCI has highlighted that AI has evolved from a mere technology into a daily necessity, positioning Surat as a leading city in India's AI revolution due to its rapid adoption capabilities.

As someone who has led engineering teams in building loan trading and securitization platforms, I’ve witnessed both the power and the pitfalls of integrating Gen AI into high-stakes financial ecosystems.

Gen AI’s capacity to process vast amounts of unstructured data, generate insights, automate documentation, and personalize user experiences makes it a game-changer. In the asset-backed securities (ABS) space, for example, Gen AI is used to streamline monthly remittance workflow and reporting, interpret servicing data, and automate security generation. But with this transformative capability comes an urgent responsibility to manage risk, mitigate bias, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Understanding the Risks

In regulated environments like finance, risks tied to Gen AI extend beyond algorithmic inaccuracies. There are legal, reputational, and systemic implications. A hallucinated insight or a flawed decision output can misguide lending, impact securitization valuations, or result in non-compliant disclosures.

At major global banks, I have designed cloud-native loan trading platforms that processed real-time servicing data and used AI to mark loans and assess pricing strategy. During testing, even small inconsistencies in data prompts to LLMs occasionally resulted in overly optimistic loan valuations. This reinforced a core principle: Gen AI should be embedded with rigorous human-in-the-loop oversight and subjected to stress testing just like any other financial model.

Mitigating Bias in Models

Bias in AI is often a reflection of the data it is trained on. In financial services, biased models can unintentionally discriminate in credit decisions, risk scoring, or loan servicing communication. For platforms managing consumer loans or commercial real estate portfolios, where Gen AI is applied to borrower behavior analysis or default prediction, unchecked bias can lead to serious ethical and regulatory breaches.

To combat this, we established strict data lineage protocols and audit trails. For instance, when integrating pre-trained LLMs with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) data, teams introduce de-biasing layers that remove sensitive borrower attributes and ensure representative training datasets across asset classes. Governance teams need to review every feature engineering step, not just model outputs.

Ensuring Compliance

The most critical pillar in responsible Gen AI is compliance. Financial institutions operate under a complex web of regulations, ranging from GDPR and CCPA to SEC reporting obligations and Basel III guidelines. Gen AI cannot be a black box; explainability is non-negotiable.

When designing Gen AI tools for legal documentation in loan sales or servicing contracts, we ensured each generated output was explainable and traceable. This included implementing AI governance frameworks that recorded prompts, model versions, and user interactions. Compliance teams had visibility into every generated document or summary, enabling quick audits when needed.

Moreover, we worked closely with internal legal and risk functions to align AI deployments with evolving regulatory guidance. As regulators like the SEC and the EU AI Act increasingly scrutinize AI use in financial services, proactive engagement and transparency will be the keys to sustained innovation.

Building a Responsible Gen AI Framework

From experience, a responsible Gen AI strategy in finance should include:

Model Risk Governance: Align LLM governance with existing model risk management frameworks. Include Gen AI models in model inventory, validation cycles, and documentation.

Human-in-the-Loop Controls: Implement review checkpoints for all Gen AI outputs that impact client data, pricing, or compliance artifacts.

Bias and Fairness Audits: Regularly test for bias across demographics and asset types, and ensure inclusive datasets for training and fine-tuning.

Explainability and Transparency: Maintain clear documentation of prompts, model versions, outputs, and decision rationale. Tools like LIME and SHAP can help.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bring together engineering, risk, legal, and compliance teams early in AI development, not after deployment.

Education and Culture: Empower users to understand Gen AI's limitations and set ethical guardrails. Responsible AI is not a technology challenge alone—it’s a cultural one.

The Way Forward

Generative AI offers tremendous potential for unlocking value in financial services, from simplifying documentation to predicting borrower behavior. But realizing that value responsibly requires thoughtful design, robust governance, and a relentless focus on trust.

As a technologist deeply involved in digitizing loan trading and securitization platforms, I believe we have a unique opportunity. By embedding responsibility into the DNA of our AI systems today, we don’t just build better technology, we build a more resilient, equitable financial future.

This prediction comes from Indrajit Belgundi, Senior Director and General Manager of the Client Solutions Group at Dell Technologies India, who shared insights into the accelerating demand for AI PCs across age groups, industries, and user categories.

As per media report, Belgundi stated that nearly all PCs in the coming years will be equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs) that allow for faster, more secure, and energy-efficient AI operations directly on the device. This transformation is expected to drive a new era of productivity, creativity, and collaboration during the workday, marking what he described as a “massive shift” in how devices are used.

His comments came during the launch of Dell's new AI PC lineup, which includes models such as Dell Pro and Dell Pro Max, powered by a range of silicon options including Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen processors, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Copilot+ AI platforms.

Belgundi also highlighted the increasing importance of edge computing, a technology that enables data to be processed closer to the source—on local servers or devices—rather than distant data centers or the cloud. This reduces latency, conserves bandwidth, and enables faster real-time responses. He emphasized that selecting the right AI PC or client device is now more critical than ever for both Indian and global consumers.

India is witnessing a surge in demand for AI-powered PCs, especially in the gaming and consumer segments. Belgundi noted that India is one of Dell’s top five markets worldwide, not only for its size but also for its potential as a hyper-growth market. To support this growth, Dell has actively participated in the first phase of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for IT hardware in India and has submitted a proposal under the new component-focused phase of the scheme.

According to market research firm IDC, Dell currently holds a 16.1% share of the Indian PC market. In the fiscal year 2025, Dell Technologies reported revenue of USD 95.6 billion, an 8% increase over the previous year, and has projected a similar 8% revenue growth for the full year.

The rapid advancement in AI hardware has also played a crucial role in shaping this transformation. According to data from OpenAI, computing power used for deep learning increased by 300,000 times between 2012 and 2017. By 2023, GPUs had become dominant in handling complex algorithms due to their superior processing capabilities.

Dell’s prediction and its latest AI-enabled devices represent a significant milestone in technological innovation, poised to redefine the future of computing both in India and globally.

This compelling interview with Delphin Varghese, Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of AdCounty Media, delves deep into the complex relationship between AI and the formation of echo chambers – digital bubbles that can reinforce our biases and limit our exposure to diverse perspectives.

As we navigate this intricate landscape, Varghese explores the ethical implications of AI-driven echo chambers and strategies to mitigate their effects. The discussion covers how AI algorithms can inadvertently amplify existing prejudices, potentially deepening societal divides, and emphasises the need for transparency in AI development and implementation. Varghese also examines how AI can be harnessed to identify echo chambers within online communities and break them down, promoting a more balanced and diverse digital ecosystem. Central to this conversation is the challenge of ensuring AI-generated content remains accurate and unbiased, a task that demands constant vigilance and innovative approaches. As we explore these topics, we uncover the delicate balance between leveraging AI’s potential and safeguarding against its pitfalls while striving to create a more inclusive and fair digital world.

How can AI algorithms inadvertently reinforce biases and create echo chambers?

– In a world that is indispensable without AI, there are instances when this technological boom can have grave repercussions too. AI integration can create echo chambers where users encounter information that reinforces their biases and is steered clear of opposing opinions. AI algorithms churn historical data, which, in certain cases, might be distorted and augment existing prejudices. Also, the primary goal of AI algorithms is user engagement. Hence, they can create ‘filter bubbles’ where users receive only the information that is in line with what they believe. This limits exposure to new ideas and confines perspectives. Also, ‘feedback loops’ created by AI algorithms promote certain types of content that reinforce selective behaviours and preferences. This entrenches existing user views and biases.

What are the ethical implications of AI-driven echo chambers, and how can we mitigate them?

Since AI-driven echo chambers reinforce existing biases and limit exposure to diverse perspectives, they often deepen societal divides and foster polarized viewpoints, where the essence of cohesion is lost. Additionally, since these chambers support information that aligns with the user’s point of view, there are increased chances of manipulation and misinformation. Echo chambers prevent exposure to alternative viewpoints, thereby stifling the ability to think and process things critically.

Mitigating these concerns necessitates training AI algorithms on diverse data sets. Transparency in algorithm development and implementation can also go a long way in identifying and addressing the aforementioned concerns. Equipping users with greater control over content preferences and regular audits of AI systems can help stave off biases and encourage diverse standpoints.

How can we design AI systems to promote diverse perspectives and break down echo chambers?

– First and foremost, it is pivotal to train AI algorithms with diverse data to reduce the risks of echo chambers and promote several alternate perspectives. Also, the key to addressing biases lies in understanding how content is selected and filtered. This transparency is crucial to breaking down echo chambers. It is essential to incorporate diverse metrics for filtering content to ensure that recommendations are balanced and not based on user history.

Can AI be used to identify and address echo chambers within online communities?

– Echo chambers within online communities can be identified through network analysis, sentiment and content analysis and studying engagement patterns. AI can identify communities that interact only with each other owing to like-mindedness and have little or no interaction with outside communities. Also, AI can examine the kind of posts shared and the type of topics discussed within a community to identify echo chambers that hint at the absence of diversity. Engagement metrics like likes, shares, etc., can be tracked to comprehend if certain viewpoints are reinforced, signalling the presence of echo chambers.

Diversification of content feeds is essential to expose viewers to alternate pieces of information that do not necessarily align with theirs. AI-generated personalised prompts can help users explore diverse opinions that challenge their existing beliefs and foster parity in thought processes.

How can we ensure that AI-generated content is accurate and unbiased?

– It is essential to train AI models using inclusive data sets to ensure that AI content is accurate and unbiased. Also, regularly auditing and updating training data is crucial to rule out content biases. Using tools to detect and mitigate biases can go a long way in avoiding the creation of echo chambers. Identifying biases and then applying techniques like reweighting, re-sampling, debasing, etc., can help mitigate the risks associated with echo chambers. Last but not least, human oversight is vital, especially in cases where the stakes are high. Editorial oversight and feedback mechanisms can help pinpoint inaccuracies and ensure the fairness of AI-generated content.

This groundbreaking technology is not just another fleeting trend but a transformative tool redefining how marketers conceptualise, create, and execute campaigns. As we stand on the cusp of a new era in marketing technology, the integration of Gen AI brings both unprecedented opportunities and complex challenges. From hyper-personalized content creation to AI-driven ad targeting and virtual assistants, Gen AI is opening up new frontiers of possibility and efficiency. However, this power comes with a responsibility that cannot be ignored.

In this in-depth interview with Hariom Seth, Founder of Tagglabs, we delve into the heart of this AI-driven revolution in marketing. We explore the emerging trends boosting efficiency and effectiveness in marketing strategies while also addressing the ethical considerations and potential risks associated with over-reliance on AI. As marketers navigate this new terrain, they must balance the allure of automation and data-driven decision-making with the irreplaceable value of human creativity and ethical considerations. This discussion aims to equip marketers with invaluable insights and practical advice on harnessing the power of Gen AI responsibly, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation while maintaining the human touch crucial for authentic brand connections.

What are the emerging trends and opportunities in the field of Gen AI marketing?

Marketers are leveraging AI in nearly all stages of their workflow. From creating content to predicting the campaign’s performance, AI has helped automate manual tasks. AI’s ability to parse large data sets brings higher efficiency and personalisation.

AI improves ad targeting by suggesting the best ways to tweak the message and deliver better results. Programmatic advertising helps advertisers show ads and, therefore, spend money only on potential customers visiting a platform based on the data provided via a data management platform (DMP). Therefore, delivering hyper-personalized content.

Marketers extensively use AI tools for image/ video and text generation. Tools like Midjourney, pika, Bing, and even Canva help marketers generate images, while tools like Rytr and Quillbot help generate copy for their campaigns

AI-based chatbots and virtual assistants—Since they are available 24/7, they can provide immediate assistance addressing the marketer’s queries. They are usually trained on large amounts of data and work using natural language processing technology. They can generate case studies and statistics in a matter of seconds, thus saving the marketer’s time in research.

How can marketers prepare for the future of AI-driven marketing?

Marketers must accept their fate and learn to collaborate with AI to build unique campaigns. Therefore, they must update themselves with the latest AI tools in the market and practice using them. They will also have to collect data and partner with data scientists and AI engineers to develop and implement AI-driven marketing strategies. Trends also suggest that AI-driven prompt customer service leads to higher customer satisfaction. It also allows human agents to save time and work on more complex projects. AI is being thoroughly able to identify real from fake influencers. Influencer network analysis maps out factors such as follower interaction rates, engagement quality, and content relevance, ensuring that businesses connect with real and relevant influencers that are best suited for their target audience.

What are the potential risks and challenges associated with over-reliance on Gen AI in marketing?

The biggest risk posed by the over-reliance on Gen AI is the loss of natural human creativity. Marketers may refrain from using their minds to generate original ideas and rely heavily on AI, producing known or mediocre results that might not help a campaign. AI is fantastic for automating certain manual work, but not all of it. Humans should mostly do idea generation and only be augmented by AI. AI chatbots are fast and efficient in providing case studies on successful campaigns in one go, saving ample time for the marketer. They can quickly learn about the best global practices; however, they will have to use their minds to customise them to benefit their campaigns. AI, therefore, is great for improving efficiency and saving time but does not replace the hard work and practice required for innovative thinking.

How can marketers ensure that Gen AI is used ethically and responsibly?

Data breaches can lead to misuse of personal data, causing harm to individuals and damaging the reputation of businesses. The best practices a marketer must follow while dealing with a large chunk of personal data is to do the following:

Annonymise the data

Encrypt the data

Regularly audit security protocols

Marketers must focus on building models that are ‘fair,’ i.e., constrained by law, philosophy and social science. They must also be transparent with the content they present and about the use of AI content. They must inform their users about how and why their data will be used and update their AI systems according to the latest ethical standards.
