Mumbai, Aug 7 (IANS) Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's new look from his upcoming streaming release 'Haddi' has been unveiled and it shows the actor in the role of a transgender, in an intense look with a penchant for blood as he holds a butcher's knife laced with blood. With the new look, the film has also locked its streaming partner.

In the new poster, Nawaz's character can be seen sitting comfortably on a chair with a blood stained knife in hand surrounded by many women in the background.

The film has been helmed by the debutant director Akshat Ajay Sharma, and also stars Anurag Kashyap along with Ila Arun, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Sharma, and Saharsh Shukla.

Co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla, 'Haddi' is a crime revenge drama that showcases the prolific actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a never-seen-before avatar. In the film, Nawazuddin takes on the challenge of portraying two distinct characters - Haddi and Harika, a transgender woman.

Talking about the film, director Akshat Ajay Sharma said: "'Haddi' circles around the intoxicating world of vengeance, violence, and power, delving into the very essence of a criminal's psyche. It highlights the ruthlessness of society. It took me a lot of time to flesh out characters and craft this politician-mobster-transgender drama. With bated breath, I am truly hoping that 'Haddi' exceeds every expectation, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience."

The film has been produced by Zee Studios, Sanjay Saha and Radhika Nanda's – Anandita Studios, and will soon debut on ZEE5.

Mumbai, June 25 (IANS) The poster of actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shehnaaz Gill's upcoming track 'Yaar Ka Sataya Hua Hai' was unveiled on Sunday. Going by the caption he has written, the song seems to be about love and betrayal.

As the poster released, Nawazuddin can be seen in a new look. This would be the first time the two will be seen sharing screen space.

Taking to his social media, Nawazuddin shared the poster and captioned it: “Main paagal hun, aur bahut paagal, par yeh bhi baat hai ke dil sachcha hai, cheen toh leta tujhko saare aam main, par masla yeh hai ke shohar tera aadmi acha hai.”

Nawazuddin's 'Yaar Ka Sataya Hua Hai' is a song from the album Zohrajabeen and is sung by BPraak. The song will be released on July 3.

Previously, Nawazuddin's first musical album 'Baarish Ki Jaaye' song was also a sensation and garnered immense love from the audience. Apart from this, Nawazuddin has an interesting lineup of films, which includes Noorani Chehra, Haddi, and Adbhut.

Mumbai, June 14 (IANS) The trailer of the upcoming romantic comedy drama 'Tiku Weds Sheru' starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in lead roles was unveiled on Wednesday.

The trailer showcases the story of two aspiring actors who get married.

As per the trailer, the movie looks rather like a mix of a Bollywood rom-com with black comedy, having a bit of a similarity to 'Delhi Belly'.

Somewhat satirical in nature, the movie is also well produced with great lighting and sound design. The dialogues in the trailer are also lighthearted, and the one which sticks out most is, "Big risk, big life. No risk, no life", said by Nawaz.

The movie, while having a solid story, does not seem to take itself too seriously with the actors clearly having a good time.

The official synopsis of the movie reads: "Sheru and Tiku are marginalised souls from the underprivileged strata of society. They are ambitious for a better life, but life has different plans for them. Shiraz, popularly known as Sheru, hails from Bhopal, a small-town in India. Sheru comes to Mumbai in search of a better life.

Being semi-literate, Sheru works as a pimp for a local don, Shahid Bhai, and also as a junior artiste as a decoy job, where he finds girls for his pimping business. He risks everything to win the confidence of his boss to be promoted as an equal partner. Tiku lives with her large conservative Muslim family in Bhopal. What follows when they come together is a set of hilarious situations which sometimes put them on the edge."

Directed and co-written by Sai Kabir, and produced by Kangana Ranaut, 'Tiku Weds Sheru' will release on Prime Video on June 23.

Mumbai, May 1 (IANS) Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra', has shared that doing different things is what fuels his passion and pursuit for excellence.

The actor attended the trailer launch of 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra' with his co-star Nikki Tamboli on Monday and spoke to the media about how he must constantly evolve as an actor to serve his audience and do complete justice to the stories that he is a part of.

The actor told the media, "You learn every day' it's a new experience which helps enhance your craft. I can't act the way I used to 20 years ago because today I carry the experience of those many years. It's important to evolve constantly and with experience, your acting also changes."

Over the years, Nawaz has starred in many ground-breaking films, the most memorable though still remains 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in which he played the role of a gangster and left everyone spellbound with what turned out to be his breakout role.

"I can't be stuck. If someone tells me that they'll make me a superstar but I'll have to do just one kind of role, I'll shoot myself. I'll quickly get bored, quit it and join some other field," he said.

Jogira Sara Ra Ra' is set to release on May 12.

Mumbai, April 15 (IANS) Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who's known for films like 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'Raees', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and others, will be soon seen in the romcom film 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra'. The actor has shared that while his fans love watching him playing dark characters, he loves keeping it light.

The film tells the story of a couple which is determined not to fall in love. The teaser of the film was unveiled recently.

Talking about the film, Nawaz said, "While my fans love to see me playing dark characters, I enjoy being in the light. And I am confident that this time even they will enjoy the laughs with this oddball couple who are determined to not lose their hearts to each other come what may. It's an original and refreshing subject, like a hawa ka jhonka."

The film has been written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali and directed by Kushan Nandy. It also stars Neha Sharma, Zarina Wahab, Sanjay Mishra and Mahakshay Chakraborty in hilarious supporting roles.

Neha said, "Shooting for this film was such a memorable experience. We were all sad when the film wrapped up because I was having so much fun. Now, I can't wait for you all to see it and enjoy it.
