Mumbai, Nov 21 (IANS) Singer Arijit Singh's latest song for ‘The Archies’ titled ‘In Raahon Mein’ has finally dropped, and it is one great ode to 1960’s classic rock’n roll while also really channeling the vibrant energy of teenage friendships.

Very retro, the song fuses the 1960’s rock music with the sensibilities of Bollywood music, creating a new sound altogether.

The live-action musical by Zoya Akhtar of the popular American comic book series of the same name is something that has been in the making since 2022.

Mixing in the style of classic rock bands like Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Credence Clearwater Revival with the sensibilities of Bollywood music, ‘In Raahon Mein’ is creatively both old and new.

Bringing the comic book series through an Indian perspective, the world of ‘The Archies’ revolves around both teenage friendships, and rock’n roll.

The sneak peek of Arijit's live performance in the Etihad Arena in the UAE’s skyscraper-filled capital city of Abu Dhabi brought out the familiar taste of rock music, but this time from an Indian style, and it was very well received.

Mumbai, Oct 19 (IANS) It seems the feud has been put to rest as singer Arijit Singh will be lending his vocal prowess for song picturised on superstar Salman Khan for the upcoming film ‘Tiger 3’.

YRF honcho Aditya Chopra has roped in Arjit to sing two songs for 'Tiger 3'.

While the first Arijit song, Leke Prabhu Ka Naam that drops on Monday, is a dance number featuring Salman and Katrina Kaif, the second song is a romantic track that will touch the hearts of audiences and fans alike! 

Director Maneesh Sharma said: “We can’t wait for Leke Prabhu Ka Naam to drop next week! It’s an out and out party track and having Arijit’s voice on top of Salman’s swag, is the cherry on top! Katrina’s ethereal beauty and the chemistry between the two makes it the perfect formula to have everyone dancing!”

“We had a lot of fun filming in Cappadocia, Turkey, and this will be another huge dance chartbuster to add to the already enviable list of successes that Salman and Katrina have had together.” 

Music director Pritam added: “It was a collaboration that was waiting to happen. Salman Khan is one of the biggest superstars and Arijit Singh, our generation’s top singing sensation. These two stalwarts coming together for a song was long overdue and we are thrilled that it is happening for Tiger 3!” 

Tiger 3 is set to release this year on November 12.

Mumbai, Oct 5 (IANS) Singer Arijit Singh was recently spotted at the premises of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartments in the Bandra area of Mumbai.

The singer was seen sitting at the passenger seat in a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) as he donned a beige coloured t-shirt.

One of the fans of Salman shared the video on X (formerly Twitter).

The singer and the actor got into a tiff almost a decade ago at an award function which Salman was hosting. Arijit, who bagged the award for Best Playback Singer for his stellar work in the ‘Aashiqui 2’ album.

However, the announcement for the Best Singer happened during the wee hours as usually happens in Bollywood award ceremonies.

The singer, who had dozed off by then, arrived late on stage only to be mocked by Salman to which Arijit casually replied, “Sir aap log itna late kar dete hain”. This didn’t go down well with the ‘Tere Naam’ actor and that’s when the relationship between the two went awry.

Following this, Arijit apologised to Salman on text many times as he lost two films. He was denied a chance in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Worst of all? His version of ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ in Sultan was replaced by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Arijit later took to Facebook in 2016 to issue a public apology to Salman to mend the relationship but soon took it down, and has since then has kept silent.

Arijit is perhaps the only artiste in the Hindi film industry, whose career didn’t take a hit despite being on not so good terms with Salman.

With Arijit’s spotting at Salman’s house it seems the two have ended their feud after nine years and a collaboration may very well on the cards mediated by music composer Pritam Chakraborty, who is composing the music for Salman’s next film ‘Tiger 3’ and has been the mentor to Arijit for close to 20 years now.

While Dhoni is regarded as one of India's best skippers, Arijit is currently India's biggest singing sensation with countless chartbusters to his credit.

Arijit was performing live at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League at Ahmedabad. After the opening ceremony, the players of the Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans met the performers. When Dhoni and Arijit met, the 'Channa Mereya' hitmaker touched the feet of the legendary cricketer in an expression of gratitude towards him. Dhoni also embraced Arijit. The moment grabbed the attention of many fans and the picture has gone viral since then with netizens praising Arijit for his humility and respect for Dhoni.

Notably, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna also performed in the ceremony alongside Arijit.
