New Delhi, March 30. The Rajya Sabha witnessed a heated exchange between the ruling party and the opposition on Monday as Leader of the House JP Nadda leveled serious allegations against the Congress-led INDIA Alliance. He stated that the opposition lacks interest in debates and shows no respect for democratic values or parliamentary procedures.

According to Nadda, the conduct of the opposition parties indicates a lack of regard for the Constitution and the rules governing parliamentary proceedings. As per agency report, he pointed out that opposition members created constant disruptions even when a member was allotted time to speak during the Zero Hour. The confrontation began when BJP MP Dr. K. Laxman raised the issue of excluding the Muslim community from the Other Backward Classes category. During the Zero Hour, Laxman argued that the benefits of OBC reservation should be reserved exclusively for socially backward classes and should not be granted on the basis of religion.

This statement led to an uproar in the house as opposition leaders sought to express their views on the matter. However, since the rules did not permit them to speak at that time, the opposition staged a walkout from the house. Commenting on the walkout, JP Nadda remarked that such behavior signifies the opposition's lack of faith in democratic and parliamentary processes. He emphasized that while the government remains prepared to discuss every subject, the opposition is actively trying to avoid meaningful debate. He further alleged that certain opposition parties have been practicing vote bank politics and policies of appeasement for years, particularly in relation to the Muslim community.

Nadda also noted that there is no constitutional provision for providing reservation to Muslims under the OBC category. He mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh High Court had previously raised objections and overturned such provisions. Referencing the views of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he stated that the OBC category was originally determined based on social and educational backwardness.

He reiterated that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ready for an open discussion on any issue and appealed to the opposition for constructive participation. Nadda concluded by condemning the opposition's behavior as unbecoming and harmful to democracy, advising them to adopt a new perspective and engage in productive parliamentary debates.

VADODARA - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is prepping for an impactful start to their 2024 Lok Sabha elections campaign, led by National President JP Nadda. On July 10th, Nadda will embark on a strategic tour of Gujarat, beginning in Vadodara, to rally support and engage in vital election dialogues.

Nadda's journey begins when his plane touches down at Vadodara's Harni Airport around 1:00 pm. The National President is slated to receive a grand welcome, with dignitaries including State Vice President Gordhan Zadaphia and city district BJP leaders in attendance. Post this warm reception, Nadda will proceed directly to Panchmahal, where he will address a public meeting regarding the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Breaking away from tradition, the BJP is hosting the dialogue meeting at the Laxminarayan Farm House, as opposed to the usual venues, namely, the Vadodara Circuit House or the BJP office. This shift in strategy has piqued the interest of party members and the public alike.

After the meeting in Panchmahal, Nadda will return to Vadodara Airport. From here, the National President will be escorted by the city's youth BJP leaders in a large-scale bike rally, heading towards the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hall on Ajwa Road. This show of support and unity is expected to make a strong statement.

At the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hall, Nadda will engage in election dialogues with BJP leaders, including Vadodara BJP in-charge Gordhan Jadaphia, Mayor Nilesh Rathod, Vadodara BJP President Dr. Vijay Shah, and MLA of Vadodara city district.

With JP Nadda's arrival in Gujarat on July 10th, the BJP is set to sound the election bugle, marking the onset of the campaign for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

New Delhi, March 24 (IANS) BJP chief J.P. Nadda slammed Rahul Gandhi on Friday by highlighting all the remarks that he made from the 2019 Lok Sabha election till date.

Nadda said the people of India did not forgive him in 2019 and will severely punish him in 2024 as well.

In a seven-thread tweet, Nadda expressed his disappointment with the Congress leader.

"By comparing OBC communities to thieves, Mr. @RahulGandhi has shown a pathetic and casteist mindset. However, his latest tirade is not surprising. For the last many years he has always reduced levels of political discourse. Let me explain how in the thread below.

"Lies, personal slander and negative politics is integral to Mr. @RahulGandhi. Let us go back to the time before 2019 - he was the newly minted Congress President and through the pre-election season his core issue was - cooked up Rafale scam. Wherever he went he spoke of it.

"Mr. @RahulGandhi's negative politics and cooked up Rafale scam faced a setback in the court of law. Our highest court of the land, the Honourable Supreme Court gave a very clear verdict on the Rafale issue and did not believe the corruption bogey Mr. Gandhi raised.

"Mr. @RahulGandhi's acerbic Chowkidar Chor Hai remarks were also not appreciated by the Supreme Court and for that HE APOLOGIZED.

"In the run up to 2019 polls, @RahulGandhi kept repeating - Chowkidar Chor Hai notwithstanding the harm he was doing to political discourse. He went on ranting against PM @narendramodi even if it meant he was defeated in his own seat and his party wiped out nationally.

"So much for Chowkidar Chor Hai that neither Congress leaders nor Congress allies appreciated this deep slander against PM @narendramodi. Infact, this issue was also taken up in CWC where the senior Congress leaders even supposedly expressed their unhappiness on it.

"Now, Mr. @RahulGandhi calls the entire OBC community thieves. He gets a flak in the Courts but he refuses to apologise thus showing how deep rooted his hatred for OBCs is. The people of India did not forgive him in 2019...in 2024 the punishment will be more severe."
