New Delhi, April 14, 2025 – Acclaimed filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, known for her powerful storytelling in films like Talvar and Raazi, is set to direct her next project titled Daira, a crime-drama thriller featuring actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The film will be produced under the Junglee Pictures banner, marking the third collaboration between Meghna and the production house after their successful ventures in the past.

According to the agency report, Kareena Kapoor, who is celebrating 25 years in the Hindi film industry, expressed her excitement about the project, calling it a dream come true to work with Meghna Gulzar. She also highlighted the significance of collaborating with Prithviraj Sukumaran, praising the film’s thought-provoking and bold narrative.

The script of Daira has been penned by writers Yash Keswani and Seema Agarwal. Prithviraj Sukumaran shared that he felt an immediate connection with the script upon hearing it and was convinced that this was a project he had to be a part of.

Meghna Gulzar remarked that developing the story with co-writers Seema and Yash, especially exploring the shades of grey between black and white, was both a challenge and a creative thrill. She also noted that working with Junglee Pictures continues to be a deeply fulfilling artistic collaboration.

Amrita Pandey, CEO of Junglee Pictures, lauded Meghna’s sensitivity and storytelling balance, saying that the screenplay delves into the complexities of contemporary issues with remarkable depth and nuance.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to commence shooting later this year.

New Delhi, February 9 – Weeks after Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra apartment, his wife and renowned actress Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media to share a thought-provoking message about how life's harsh realities can shatter preconceived notions and beliefs.

On January 16, an unidentified assailant attacked Saif multiple times with a knife on the 12th floor of his apartment building in Bandra, Mumbai. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and was discharged after four days of treatment.

In a recent Instagram post, Kareena Kapoor expressed how personal experiences can redefine one’s understanding of life. She wrote, "You can never truly understand marriage, divorce, anxiety, childbirth, the death of a loved one, or parenting until it happens to you. The principles and perceptions we build around life’s situations are not reality. You think you are the wisest until life teaches you its own lessons."

Following Saif’s attack, Kareena had earlier released a statement on social media, calling it "an extremely challenging time" for their family. She urged the media and paparazzi to respect their privacy and avoid unnecessary coverage of the incident.

Despite the ordeal, Saif Ali Khan made his first public appearance last week at a Netflix event, where he interacted with fans and audiences. Speaking at the event, he shared, "It feels great to be back in front of the audience."

At the event, Netflix officially announced Saif’s upcoming film ‘Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins’, in which he will star alongside Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his role in Paatal Lok Season 2. Mumbai, Feb 16 (IANS) Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan looked drop-dead-gorgeous in a picture posing Canadian fashion model Winnie Harlow in Dubai.

Kareena took to Instagram, where she shared several images on her Stories section from an event. In the first image, she took a mirror selfie dressed in a deep neck-lined ocean green shimmery dress.

She captioned it: “Woke up like this.”

The diva then shared another image, taken in front of a mirror in the elevator and wrote: “And to bed like this.”

The actress then shared a picture with Harlow, who is also public spokesperson on the skin condition of vitiligo.

“The one with beautiful Winnie Harlow,” Kareena, who was representing India at the event, wrote.

For the unversed, Winnie Harlow gained the spotlight in 2014 with television series America's Next Top Model. In 2016, she became the first model with vitiligo to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Harlow has also appeared in the Beyoncé-directed visual album ‘Beyoncé: Lemonade’.

Mumbai, Dec 30 (IANS) Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is on her annual vacation to snow-capped Switzerland with her family and friends, has shared her 2024 mantra, and it is all things funny.

The ‘Jab We Met’ actress is on a vacation with her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan, her kids Taimur and Jeh, and close friend Natasha Poonawalla.

Kareena, who is an avid social media user, is updating her fans about her holiday by sharing pictures from her year-end trip.

On Saturday, she took to Instagram Stories, and revealed her New Year mantra.

“I’m at the stage of my life where I keep myself out of arguments. Even if you tell me 1+1=5, you’re absolutely correct, enjoy,” she wrote in the post.

The ‘3 Idiots’ fame actress captioned the post as: “2024 Mantra."

She also shared a picture of a cake along with a cup of coffee, with the caption, “Is cake for breakfast a thing? #snowythings 30-12-2023."

Earlier, Kareena had shared glimpses of her winter getaway, and sneak peek into the mesmerising landscape of Switzerland.

On the work front, Kareena next has ‘The Crew’ and ‘Singham Again’ in her kitty.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan recently revealed that her younger son, Jehangir, loves dancing to the Oscar-winning song "Naatu Naatu" and will only eat his dinner when the song is played. Kareena's streaming talk show, 'What Women Want,' released its fourth season on Friday.

Kareena shared with IANS that Jeh prefers the original version of "Naatu Naatu," not the Hindi dubbed version. She commented on the song's impact, stating, "The song touches a 2-year-old's heart; it shows that they have created something spectacular with the film and the song."
