Mumbai, Sep 25 (IANS) Parineeti Chopra and AAP leader Raghav Chadha have finally shared several pictures from their dreamy wedding in Udaipur.

The actress said that she finally feels blessed to be ‘Mr and Mrs.’

Taking to Instagram, a day after her wedding on Sunday, Parineeti posted a string of pictures from their jai mala and pheras. A picture of her ‘ghoonghat’ shows “Raghav written on it.

The pictures were captioned: "From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew. Been waiting for this day for a long time .. So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs! Couldn’t have lived without each other .. Our forever begins now."

The grand celebration took place on September 24 at the Leela Palace here in presence of close friends and family. The jai mala and pheras took place around 4.30 p.m on Sunday.

Names such as Sania Mirza, Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, along with Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab and Harbhajan Singh were among the other guests at the wedding. The couple had an ivory-themed wedding and the guests were seen dressed similarly. For the vidaai, the song 'Dilwale Dhulhaniya Le Jayengey' picturised on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol was played.

For the wedding, Parineeti wore a pearl white ensemble by Manish Malhotra outfit, while Raghav was styled in the same colour as per the theme by his maternal uncle and fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva for the big day.

Udaipur, Sep 24 (IANS) AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha and Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra are now officially a married couple.

Their marriage was solemnised on Sunday evening at a luxury hotel here in the presence of close friends and family, with the assembled paparazzi having to satisfy themselves with only long-distance shots, such as those of Raghav enjoying a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

The jaimala and pheras took place around 4.30 p.m. The guests who were present included AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP's Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Sanjeev Arora, and Sania Mirza, the tennis star who is also Parineeti's BFF.

Jaipur, Aug 14 (IANS) With a huge inflow of tourists from Delhi-NCR, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and UP,  domestic tourism is soaring new heights in Rajasthan registering a 394 per cent growth YoY  in Rajasthan.

The tourist places like Udaipur, Jaipur and Mt Abu are all flooded with visitors and hence those who made advance bookings are having a chance to get rooms and vehicles on rent.

Such is the situation that neither vehicles nor rooms are available for those tourists who have been late in making bookings.

Tourism department deputy director, Daleep Singh Rathore says that Sarva Dharm Teerth Circuit being announced recently is the driving factor behind tourists rushing in huge number to Rajasthan. Religious tourism is on the rise here, he added.

Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) said that domestic tourists should make prior bookings and then come to desert state to avoid last minute tension.

RATO President Mahendra Singh Rathore said that tourists from states like Karnataka, West Bengal, Gujarat and Delhi-NCR are coming to Rajasthan in large number. Domestic tourists in record number are coming to places like Sawai Madhopur, Kumbhalgarh, etc, to experience wildlife, he added.

Travel veteran Devipal Singh said tourists from Gujarat are mostly camping in Jawai while those from Delhi are going to Sariska, Ranthambore, etc, and those from UP are going to Bharatpur and Dausa.

In fact, for Udaipur, bookings are full for December and January too, for which it has been ranked second in list of beautiful world cities.

Indigo Airlines has reopened bookings for  fights connecting Surat to Udaipur and Indore, set to commence on August 21. This decision comes on the heels of a sudden suspension of bookings for these routes, as well as the Surat-Kolkata route which began on July 1 and July 3 respectively.

While this move bolsters Surat's connectivity with two additional cities, the Kolkata-Surat connection remains in limbo. The earlier suspension led to a flurry of cancellations for passengers who had opted for the Kolkata-Bangkok-Surat route, resulting in palpable dissatisfaction amongst Surat's travel community. However, in a gesture of goodwill, Indigo redirected affected passengers through the Bengaluru-Bangkok-Surat route, ensuring ticket refunds and rebookings.

Moreover, Indigo has opted for a 72-seater ATR aircraft for its Surat-Udaipur and Surat-Indore journeys, aligning with the anticipated travel demand.

In related news, there's ongoing discussion about the naming of Surat airport. Proposals by local citizens and organizations suggest naming it after notable figures like Veer Kavi Narmad and Morarji Desai. However, Narendra Singh, Deputy Secretary, Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, has emphasized the need for a formal proposal from the state government by May 18, 2023. Typically, the state assembly would pass a resolution, which the central government would then approve, finalizing the naming.

Udaipur: Continuing the trend of providing 100 per cent placements, IIM Udaipur on Thursday shared the topline figures of its recently concluded final placements for students of its two-year MBA course graduating in April 2023.

IIM Udaipur is one of the four IIMs that follow the Indian Placement Report Standards (IPRS) and will be posting a detailed report on its website when the external audit of the same concludes.

The two-year MBA batch of 2021-23 has a student count of 305. At the close of the final placement season, the figures showed an increase of 14 per cent in the average CTC (cost to company) and 16 per cent in the median.

The highest CTC stood at Rs 36 lakh/annum. The top 25 per cent of the batch got an average CTC of Rs 28 lakh/annum, while the top 50 per cent bagged an average CTC of Rs 24 lakh/annum. The average CTC of the whole batch stood at Rs 20.3 lakh/annum.

Pre-placement offers through summer internships rose by 30 per cent.
