Mathura, May 13 — A day after announcing his retirement from Test cricket, Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, accompanied by his wife and actress Anushka Sharma, visited the revered spiritual leader Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj at his ashram in Vrindavan.

As per agency report, Kohli and Sharma arrived at the ashram early Tuesday morning and stayed for approximately three and a half hours. A video shared on social media platform X showed the couple receiving blessings from the spiritual leader and engaging in a brief conversation, during which the saint inquired if Kohli was happy following his recent decision.

This marked Kohli’s third visit to the ashram, having previously visited on January 10 earlier this year and once before on January 4, 2023. During their time at the ashram, the couple maintained a low profile, arriving in an Innova vehicle with face masks on for privacy.

Sources from the ashram confirmed that following their interaction with Sant Premanand, the couple toured the premises and gathered information about various activities and initiatives run by the ashram. Before departing, they also visited the nearby Varaha Ghat to pay respects at the shrine of Sant Premanand’s spiritual mentor, Gaurangi Sharan Maharaj.

Kohli’s visit came shortly after his emotional farewell to the longest format of the game, in which he played 123 Test matches and earned recognition as one of India’s most successful captains. The visit to the spiritual retreat seemed to be a moment of peace and reflection for the cricketing legend and his wife.

du Plessis took to Instagram, where he shared a picture posing with Virat and Anushka, who are fondly called as Virushka by their fans. The image shows, Virat making a funny face while Anushka had a serious gangster look. du Plessis can be seen standing behind the two.

The three were seen dressed in green outfits and du Plessis tagged it as "Team green."

Sharing the post on his Instagram Stories, Virat asked: "Hahaha what are we called? @anushkasharma."

She re-shared it and wrote: "Band name - fresh lime soda."

On the acting front, Anushka will next be seen playing the role of the iconic Indian pace bowler Jhulan Goswami in the film 'Chakda Xpress', which is directed by Prosit Roy.

The 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' actress captions the video with "Dance Pe Chance," a song which featured in her debut film with Shah Rukh Khan.

On the work front, Anushka will next be seen playing the role of Indian bowler Jhulan Goswami in the film 'Chakda Xpress'. The film will be releasing on Netflix. The release date of the movie is not out yet.

Mumbai, March 25 (IANS) Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who was seen attending an event here, had a hilarious reaction when she was referred to as 'Mrs Kohli' by the paparazzis.

A video shared by a celebrity paparazzi shows Anushka looking stunning in a black dress. As soon as she stepped on the red carpet, the photographers started referring to her as 'Mrs Kohli' and kept screaming for her to look at the camera.

Hearing this, Anushka laughed and was heard saying: "Relax! Why are you all shouting? Wait! Mere kaan... I have not recovered from the shouting from yesterday."

The photographers said that they missed her clicking her at events, she replied 'mere kaan bajj rahe hai."

Recently, Anushka and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli decided to merge their respective foundations - Anushka Sharma Foundation and Virat Kohli Foundation - to launch a joint non-profit initiative aimed at helping those in need.

Anushka will next be seen in 'Chakda Xpress'. The Netflix film, which is based on the life and times of one of the fastest female pacers in the history of world cricket, Jhulan, will showcase how the pacer moves up the ladder despite countless hindrances to fulfil her only dream -- to play cricket.

Jhulan went on to captain the Indian women's national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring cricketers in the country. In 2018, an Indian postage stamp was issued in her honour. Jhulan holds the world record for the highest number of wickets taken by a woman in an international career.

Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) It's been over five years that Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the nuptial knot with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. But, their fans have always been curious over how the love took its course and most importantly how the two met given that they come from different sectors and industries.

Recently, Virat shed light on his first interaction with his wife in a casual chat with his former Royal Challengers Bangalore team-mate and close friend AB de Villiers on his 'The 360 Show'. Kohli revealed that he was nervous meeting Anushka for the first time and was shaking ahead of an advertisement shoot.

Kohli said on the podcast, "I remember this was 2013, I was just named captain for the Zimbabwe tour. My manager came to me and told me that I was going to shoot with Anushka Sharma. As soon as I heard this, I was so nervous. Like how the hell am I gonna do this. I was really nervous".

The Indian batsman also remembered cracking an unamusing joke about her heels when they met for the shoot but eventually hit it off after a few get-togethers.

"Out of nervousness, I didn't realise how tall she was. So the first thing I told her when I saw her heels was, 'Didn't you get anything higher to wear?' and she was like 'Excuse me?' It was so bad, I was so nervous. But then I figured out that she was a normal person and when we got talking, I realised our background was so similar. From there on, we became friends and then gradually we started dating, it didn't happen instantly," he added.

Mumbai (IANS) Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who will be soon seen in the upcoming sports biopic "Chakda 'Xpress", recently visited her childhood home in Madhya Pradesh.

The actress is the daughter of an retired army Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, who was posted at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, during Anushka's childhood. The actress shared a video from her visit to her old home which is a government quarter in Mhow.

While sharing about the pool where she learnt swimming and the scooter rides with her father, Anushka wrote: "Revisiting MHOW, MP. The place where I first learnt to swim as a kid, the place where my brother tricked me to ask for a video game on MY birthday which only he played with of course, place where I had many scooter rides with my dad and the place that will always have a piece of my heart."

In the video, she can be seen moving towards her house, which is at the end of the road and also the house of her childhood friend.

Anushka pointed to one of the houses and said, "My friend used to live here."

The video also captured the pictures that she clicked at her house and showed the school where she studied.
