Surat, March 9 – During his visit to Surat on March 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a grand public event at Neelgiri Circle in Limbayat. Amidst the gathering, a remarkable painting by differently-abled artist Manoj Bhingare caught the Prime Minister’s attention. The painting, which depicted PM Modi alongside the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, was uniquely created using only his feet, as Bhingare has no arms.

As per reports, while Modi was proceeding towards the event stage in an open jeep after completing a roadshow, many attendees attempted to present him with gifts. Among them, Bhingare showcased his stunning artwork, which instantly captured Modi’s interest. Upon noticing the painting, the Prime Minister halted his convoy, took a closer look, and signed the artwork. Upon learning that the artist had crafted the painting solely with his feet, Modi was deeply moved and personally met Bhingare, commending his exceptional talent.

The painting soon became the center of attention, with many praising Bhingare’s extraordinary skill and determination. Following the Prime Minister’s appreciation, the Surat BJP office honored the artist, awarding him a ₹1 lakh grant. The financial assistance is intended to support Bhingare in purchasing advanced art equipment and improving his craft, thereby enabling him to continue his artistic journey.

Expressing his gratitude, Bhingare stated that he felt fortunate to have received personal recognition from Prime Minister Modi. He added that the BJP office had invited him for a felicitation ceremony, where he was presented with a ₹1 lakh cheque. He plans to use the funds to acquire new tools for painting and further refine his skills. Looking ahead, Bhingare also shared his aspiration to establish a global "Foot and Mouth Painting Association" to support and uplift artists like himself.

Delhi, 14 July (HS): JP Nadda's time as National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ended. Although his term was extended to June 2024, he 
has already been given substantial duties inside the administration.

As a result, the BJP plans to nominate a new national president by December of this year, with the election process starting on August 1. In preparation for the election, the BJP will undertake a massive membership drive on August 1 and run until September 15. This will be followed by a robust membership drive from September 16 to September 30. The active membership verification period will run from October 1 to October 15. The BJP party constitution requires members, including the Prime Minister and party president, to renew their membership every nine years.

Mandal (local unit) presidents will be elected from November 1 to November 15, with district president elections taking place from November 16 to November 30.

According to sources within the BJP, elections for state and central council members would follow. Once they are completed, the process of picking state 
presidents will begin on December 1. After elections in 50% of states are finished, the official process of electing the national president will begin, 
guaranteeing a strong organization prepared for leadership transitions.

Notably, JP Nadda was just chosen House Leader in the Rajya Sabha. Nadda, a Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat, also holds the Health, Chemicals, and Fertilizers portfolios in Modi's 3.0 cabinet following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
