She highlighted not only her personal experiences but also the evolving societal landscape and the growing role of women. She expressed her belief that the struggles and contributions of women should not be confined to just one day of celebration.

As per agency reports, Sakshi asserted that women should not be honored solely on March 8, the designated International Women’s Day. Instead, she believes that every day should be a celebration of women. Reflecting on her own life, she shared how women face multiple challenges throughout their journey, overcoming obstacles at every stage.

Recalling her early years in wrestling, Sakshi described how she had to train with minimal resources. Despite these hardships, she not only built a successful career but also balanced her responsibilities as a mother. She emphasized that mothers juggle multiple roles simultaneously, and their efforts deserve daily recognition, not just on a specific occasion.

Speaking about societal changes, Sakshi noted that in Haryana, there was once a stark difference in how boys and girls were treated. However, she has witnessed significant progress over the years. She credited her success in wrestling as a catalyst for shifting societal perceptions, inspiring many parents to encourage their daughters to pursue sports. She pointed to the achievements of athletes like Manu Bhaker, who made history in the Olympics, as a testament to the fact that girls are capable of excelling in any field.

Sakshi strongly believes that a woman determined to achieve her goals, with focus and discipline, can accomplish anything. She also acknowledged the unique challenges faced by female athletes. She remarked that a woman's sports career is often shorter due to various factors, requiring careful planning and decision-making. Encouraging young women, she urged them to perform fearlessly and give their best, regardless of the obstacles they encounter.

Reflecting on her own journey, Sakshi acknowledged that she and other athletes had to stand up against injustice, fight for their rights, and even lead protests when necessary. She encouraged all women, irrespective of their field, to continue working hard and contributing to the country in meaningful ways.

Though she has retired from wrestling, Sakshi remains committed to the sport. She expressed her desire to train young athletes while also focusing on her newborn daughter and maintaining her fitness. Offering advice to aspiring female athletes, she emphasized the importance of setting clear goals and working towards them with honesty and dedication, assuring that success would follow.

Surat: World Breastfeeding Week, observed annually from August 1 to 7, continues to shine a light on the vital importance of breastfeeding. In a seminar at Param Doctor House, Surat, healthcare professionals Dr. Prashant Karia and Dr. Palak Jariwala addressed mothers, debunking common misconceptions and emphasizing the immense benefits of breastfeeding for both infants and mothers.

Dr. Prashant Karia and Dr. Palak Jariwala underscored the critical importance of initiating breastfeeding within the first hour of birth. The first milk, known as colostrum, is exceptionally nutritious and offers vital immunity to newborns. Despite its benefits, only 42% of infants in India receive breastfeeding within the first hour of life.

Breast milk plays a crucial role in protecting babies from infections, boosting their immunity, and aiding in brain development. For mothers, breastfeeding not only reduces the risk of breast and uterine cancers but also helps in postpartum weight loss, quickens uterine recovery, and acts as a natural contraceptive.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), breastfeeding in the first hour of birth is vital, yet many children in India are still deprived of this essential nutrition.

7 Golden Rules of Breastfeeding:

Begin breastfeeding within the first hour of birth.

Exclusively breastfeed for the first six months.

Start complementary feeding from the seventh month.

Avoid giving animal milk before one year of age.

Maintain a balanced diet.

Ensure sufficient sleep.

Consult a doctor if any issues arise.

Experts at the seminar urged mothers to maintain a positive attitude toward breastfeeding and to seek medical advice if they encounter any challenges. The benefits of breastfeeding extend beyond the mother and child, reducing infant mortality rates, lowering healthcare costs, and contributing to national development.

Typically an atheist approach to ?Moksha?, or liberation from the cycles of death and rebirth.

Women's health research and healthcare has taken the spotlight for a few decades, as it so deserves, what makes Yoga especially important for women.

Physical Empowerment

For women, Yoga offers an array of physical benefits. The practice enhances flexibility and builds strength, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy body. Weight-bearing poses, such as Warrior II and Tree Pose, are particularly beneficial for bone health, helping to prevent conditions like osteoporosis. Additionally, yoga improves balance and posture, counteracting the effects of sedentary lifestyles and modern work habits.

Yoga is also a valuable tool for weight management. Regular practice can boost metabolism and promote healthy eating habits, contributing to long-term weight control. But beyond these tangible benefits, Yoga fosters a deeper connection with one?s body, encouraging self-acceptance and confidence.

Nurturing the Mind and Spirit

The mental and emotional benefits of Yoga are profound. Practices like pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation are powerful tools for stress reduction, helping to calm the mind and reduce anxiety. Yoga also enhances mental clarity and focus, providing a mental sanctuary from the chaos of daily life.

Emotionally, Yoga promotes stability and resilience. It offers techniques to manage emotions effectively, fostering a positive outlook and improving overall mental health. For women facing sleep issues, Yoga can be particularly beneficial. Gentle practices and specific poses can improve sleep quality, combating insomnia and promoting restful nights.

Supporting Women's Health

Yoga's benefits extend to various aspects of women?s health. It can alleviate menstrual discomfort and regulate cycles through specific poses and breathing techniques. During pregnancy, prenatal Yoga supports physical health and emotional well-being, preparing the body for childbirth and aiding postpartum recovery.

Hormonal changes during menopause can be challenging, but Yoga can help in balancing hormones and reducing symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings. The holistic approach of Yoga ensures that women can navigate different life stages with grace and strength.

Practical Tips for Practicing Yoga

Starting or deepening a Yoga practice can be a rewarding journey. Finding the right class is essential?whether it?s a gentle Hatha class or a dynamic Vinyasa flow. For those preferring the comfort of home, setting up a dedicated space and a consistent schedule can help maintain a regular practice.

Listening to your body is crucial. Yoga encourages respect for one?s physical limits and needs, promoting a safe and sustainable practice. Integrating Yoga into daily life doesn?t have to be daunting?simple stretches at your desk or mindful breathing can make a significant difference.

Inspiring Transformations

Countless women have transformed their lives through Yoga. Stories abound of women overcoming physical challenges, emotional struggles, and mental stress through dedicated practice. These stories serve as a powerful reminder of Yoga?s potential to heal and empower.

More than just a physical exercise

Yoga is more than just a physical exercise; it?s a journey towards holistic wellness. The NGO has been working for the empowerment of women ever since its inception. Child Help Foundation has successfully conducted numerous initiatives to empower the women and has helped around 53,426 underprivileged girls and women of the society. It has helped them to run a good and healthy life and moreover make them self-dependent.

Child Help Foundation truly believes that India will not be fully developed unless both girls and boys are equally supported to reach their full potential.

The statistics says that more than 23 million girls drop out of school annually because of a lack of proper sanitization in school (toilets) and proper menstrual hygiene management facilities. The organization has run many programs to empower women with self-defense training, gender equality awareness sessions, POSH-POCSO training, Gendercide sessions etc. But the most important initiative taken by the organization are Gender Equality Programme and Beti-Padho Beti Bachao Programme.

Speaking on the project, Mr. Shaji Varghese, Chief Executive Officer of Child Help Foundation said, “With the prevalence of gender discrimination, and social norms and practices, girls face many violences and unacceptable behavior by the society. They are deprived of education due to lack of toilets in school and proper menstrual hygiene management facilities. Child Help Foundation takes all possible initiatives to bring awareness and a change in the society by highlighting topics like menstrual hygiene and its products. Through this event of Women’s Day, CHF tried to make a difference in the lives of women and educate them about menstrual care.”

During this event CHF held menstrual hygiene awareness sessions along with baby feeding centres for lactating mothers. Sanitary pads were distributed to 60,844 girls and 13,637 people got educated with these sessions. Baby Feeding Centres have been proven to be useful to 1,03,855 lactating mothers so far.

Various dignitaries from CHF, Aditya Birla Foundation and Ujjas Project had graced the event with their presence. Child Help Foundation hopes to continue its mission of providing more women with menstrual hygiene support and awareness of the same. We invite people to join CHF in its mission to help and empower women with menstrual hygiene support. You can donate or volunteer the cause of CHF by logging on to its website.

The absence of a school in the village meant a daily trek through dense forests just to access education in neighboring Modinagar. Despite challenges, Eisha excelled, later joining her father in managing their family business alongside pursuing her studies.

Her commitment to education extended beyond personal success as she began inspiring girls from her village to pursue learning, gradually increasing their enrollment. After completing her graduation, Eisha initiated skill development programs for village girls, funding them with fees collected from her own teaching endeavors. Her determination led her to obtain a Master’s degree while simultaneously expanding her philanthropic efforts.

Recognizing her passion, Eisha’s father established the “Dharm Kunj Jan Kalyan Samiti,” empowering women through sewing, beautician, and painting training centers. Through this initiative, thousands of underprivileged women and children have received free education and skill development, fostering self-reliance and community well-being.

Despite personal struggles, including the loss of her mother and employment, Eisha’s resilience never waned. With her sister’s encouragement, she founded the “Maa Kamalesh Devi Jan Sevaarth Foundation,” dedicated to societal welfare. Their mission focuses on providing essential skills, education, shelter for the needy, and promoting environmental and family welfare.

Eisha’s dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition from prestigious organizations and personalities, affirming her impactful contributions to society. Her story exemplifies the transformative power of grassroots activism, empowering individuals and communities towards a brighter future.
