The Trump administration has made a significant change to immigration rules for foreign nationals residing in the United States.

According to the new rule implemented by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), applicants will now have to leave the United States during the process of obtaining a green card. Previously, foreign nationals could complete the green card process while staying in the U.S. on temporary visas, but now they will have to return to their home country to apply for an immigrant visa. The administration argues that this change is aimed at making the immigration system more transparent and reducing the issue of overstaying after the visa period expires.

According to spokesperson Jack Kahler, this step will help the department focus on human trafficking and other important applications. This policy is expected to have a widespread impact on millions of temporary visa holders in the U.S., including Indian students, researchers, and professionals working on H-1B visas. Immigration advocacy groups are strongly criticizing this new policy.

Organizations like FWD.us believe that this change goes against 70 years of legal and administrative traditions and has created uncertainty for thousands of families. This rule is particularly challenging for those who have been in the process of adjusting their status in the U.S. for a long time. Now, applicants will be required to leave the U.S. to obtain a green card, except in special circumstances.

Washington, May 16. US President Donald Trump has made a significant and shocking claim upon returning from his three-day official visit to China.

In a special conversation with journalists aboard Air Force One, Trump stated that the US and China are in complete agreement that Iran should not have nuclear weapons at any cost. According to Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping firmly stated during their bilateral meeting that he does not want to see Iran become a nuclear-armed nation and that the strategic maritime route of the Hormuz Strait should be opened immediately for international trade. Trump also claimed that the US Navy currently has full control over the Hormuz Strait and that due to America's strict blockade, Iran has been suffering a heavy economic loss of $500 million daily for the past two and a half weeks.

During this high-level meeting in Beijing, the sensitive issue of Taiwan was also discussed in great detail between the leaders of the two superpowers. President Trump revealed that Xi Jinping does not want to see any kind of freedom struggle or military rebellion in Taiwan, as it could lead to a massive and destructive military confrontation globally. Trump stated that the Chinese president is strongly against the current activities in Taiwan.

However, Trump also clarified that he listened very carefully to Jinping's remarks regarding Taiwan's sovereignty and security but completely refrained from making any direct comments or official promises at that time. When journalists asked Trump about the historic assurance given by former US President Ronald Reagan in 1982, under which the US committed not to consult China before selling arms to Taiwan, Trump took a practical stance. He mentioned that the matters of 1982 are now very old, and he could not refuse to discuss this serious issue with the Chinese president under the guise of an old agreement.

Trump acknowledged that there was also an in-depth discussion between the two leaders regarding the supply of US weapons to Taiwan, on which they would soon make a final decision. He emphasized that the US does not need any new war or military front 9,500 miles away from its homeland at this time.

President Xi Jinping extended a hand of friendship to welcome Trump.

This visit comes at a crucial time when ongoing conflicts in West Asia and the situation regarding the Iran war have created geopolitical and economic uncertainties globally. This meeting between the two superpowers is considered extremely important for the stability of Asia. During the visit, Trump and Jinping are having in-depth discussions to resolve trade differences and restore the global energy supply chain.

The meeting also addressed the Iran crisis and the Taiwan issue, where China has maintained a very firm stance. The oil crisis arising from tensions in West Asia is affecting the entire world, which both leaders expressed shared concerns about. The U.S. administration is trying to achieve economic balance with China through this visit.

Countries in Southeast Asia, including India, are closely watching this important meeting. Strategic experts believe that this meeting between Trump and Jinping will determine the direction of future global politics.

Especially amidst war-like situations in West Asia, the coming together of the U.S. and China on one platform could be a positive signal for global trade. India is closely analyzing the outcomes of this meeting, as any changes in U.S.-China relations will directly impact Asian security and the energy market.

This program was previously conducted in American schools to assess children's physical fitness but was discontinued during Barack Obama's administration. At an event held at the White House, Trump emphasized the importance of promoting fitness and sportsmanship among youth, alongside athletes, officials, and children. Professional athletes such as golfer Bryson DeChambeau, golfer Gary Player, and former NHL player T.J. Oshie participated in the event. Trump stated that he signed a proclamation recognizing national youth sports and fitness, as well as the first copy of the newly reintroduced 'Presidential Fitness Test Award', which acknowledges the achievement of the 'gold standard' in physical fitness. This program was initiated during John F. Kennedy's presidency and remained a significant part of American schools until a new program was introduced in 2013. In his speech, Trump emphasized competition and discipline in sports, asserting that competition is part of America's identity and essential for the country's progress. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Noted that the U.S. Has become one of the most unhealthy countries, with childhood obesity levels rising from 5% to 20%, and 70% of adults being overweight or obese, while 77% of children fail to meet the physical standards required for military service.

Kennedy praised the original program initiated during his uncle President Kennedy's tenure, recalling it as a memorable and significant tradition for his generation. U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth remarked that youth physical fitness is directly linked to military readiness, expressing concern that nearly three-quarters of American youth are not eligible for military service.

The Presidential Fitness Test was launched nationally during the Cold War amid concerns about the physical preparedness of American youth compared to their European counterparts. The test typically included pull-ups, sit-ups, shuttle runs, and endurance exercises, with awards and certificates given to the best-performing students. This decision comes at a time when concerns are rising globally, including in India, about increasing obesity among children, addiction to mobile and screens, and reduced physical activity following the COVID pandemic, prompting various governments to launch fitness, sports, and health awareness campaigns.

This surprising move comes at a time when tensions in Europe have escalated due to comments made by President Trump and the German Chancellor.

The Pentagon took this step following a heated debate between Trump and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The main reason for this escalation was a controversial remark made by Merz regarding the ongoing Iran war, where he stated that Iran was humiliating the U.S. In negotiations to end the two-month-long conflict.

In response, Trump sharply advised Merz to focus on resolving the Russia-Ukraine war and to concentrate on fixing his own country instead of wasting time on the Iran war. A senior Pentagon official described Germany's recent statements as highly inappropriate and stated that the President is rightly responding to these comments by withdrawing troops from NATO countries. The troop withdrawal process is expected to be completed within 6 to 12 months, bringing the number of U.S. troops in Europe back to pre-2022 levels. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, then-President Joe Biden had increased the number of troops in Europe, but now the U.S. Is reversing those decisions.

It is noteworthy that the largest U.S. Military base in Europe is located in Germany, which is a key NATO member, with approximately 35,000 troops currently stationed there, along with an important training hub. In recent months, Germany and NATO have been under heavy scrutiny from Trump, who has criticized European allies and NATO for not sending their navies to open the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran war.

Donald Trump has canceled the Islamabad mission while offering Iran a phone conversation. He has also indicated a potential separation from NATO, stirring international political dynamics.

The U.S. President stated that American and Iranian officials could engage in phone discussions for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. In an interview with Fox News, Trump mentioned that he decided against sending a delegation that would take 17 hours to fly.

He noted that all options are available, and if Iran wishes to negotiate, they can either come directly to the U.S. Or communicate via phone. The second round of talks became controversial when Iran's top diplomat, Abbas Araghchi, departed from Pakistan.

Shortly after, Trump revealed that he had instructed U.S. Envoys not to proceed to Islamabad. He explained that the mission was canceled due to a lack of progress in talks and stated that Iran could contact the U.S. whenever they wished. Regarding NATO, Trump expressed his disappointment with the military alliance, suggesting that the U.S. Might consider separating from it, as member countries ignored American appeals for assistance after Iran effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz.

He emphasized that the U.S. Has been supporting NATO countries for many years, spending trillions of dollars, but they were not present when the U.S. Needed them.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a return visit to Islamabad. After departing for Moscow late Saturday night, he kept the prospects for talks alive. Araghchi had previously visited Oman, which had mediated between Iran and the U.S. Islamabad officials did not provide any information regarding the return date of the U.S. Delegation.

The White House had stated on Friday that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would be sent to Islamabad for the second round of talks, but Trump canceled the mission after Araghchi's departure, reiterating that Iran could contact the U.S. Whenever they wished.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made significant remarks regarding the ongoing military action against Iran during a discussion with reporters at the Pentagon. He described the war against Iran as a 'gift to the world,' stating that this mission is essential for ensuring global security.

He clarified that the US Navy's blockade of Iranian ships will continue until Washington's 'bold and dangerous' mission is completely successful. According to US officials, this blockade has already led to the expulsion of 34 suspected vessels. Contrary to the Defense Secretary's claims, data from maritime intelligence agencies such as Lloyd's List Intelligence and Windward indicates that Iran has still managed to evade the blockade.

Reports suggest that Iranian tankers are manipulating their tracking data and using Pakistani waters to export restricted oil. Since April 13, at least 11 Iranian tankers have been confirmed to have left the Gulf of Oman. General Dan Ken also recently highlighted the seriousness of the ongoing tensions at sea by detailing the incident involving the Iranian vessel 'Tauska.' Despite the aggressive stance, Pete Hegseth mentioned the importance of keeping diplomatic channels open, stating that Iran still has the opportunity to show reason and come to the negotiating table.

The main condition from the US is that Iran must completely abandon its nuclear program and weapons, which must be verifiable according to international standards. Washington has made it clear that if Iran does not abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons, the military and economic sanctions imposed on it will be further tightened.

Trump issued this threat on Sunday via Truth Social. He accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement, claiming that gunfire in Iran on Saturday completely disregarded the ceasefire agreement. He asserted that many of the shots were aimed at a French ship and a United Kingdom cargo vessel.

Additionally, Trump confirmed talks in Islamabad, stating that his representatives would visit Pakistan on Monday. He also mocked Iran's claim about closing the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that it was strange since the strait was already closed due to the U.S. Blockade, which was causing Iran a daily loss of $500 million.

Trump mentioned that if a deal is not reached, he would take actions that previous U.S. Presidents have not taken against Iran in the last 47 years. The joint airstrike by Israel and the U.S. began on February 28, and a temporary ceasefire was announced on April 8. Following this, talks were held in Islamabad to find a permanent solution, which were inconclusive. Although there was no official announcement, local media reported that traffic in the red zone of Islamabad was halted in anticipation of the arrival of a foreign delegation, confirming Trump's post regarding Islamabad Talks 2.

He warned that if a solid nuclear agreement is not reached by the deadline, the U.S. Would resume heavy bombing on Iran. Trump also clarified that the U.S. Navy's blockade in the Strait of Hormuz would continue to keep pressure on Iran's economy and force it to negotiate.

The world is now focused on Islamabad, Pakistan, where a new round of peace talks is set to begin on Monday. According to diplomatic sources, delegations from both countries are expected to arrive in Islamabad by Sunday evening. While Trump has threatened military action, he also mentioned the possibility of a celebration at the White House if an agreement is reached.

However, Iran has expressed doubts about U.S. intentions. Experts believe that if Monday's meeting fails, avoiding a major military confrontation in the region after April 21 may become impossible.

The looming clouds of war globally have caused a stir in the Indian bullion market. Amid uncertainty, the rising crowd of investors seeking safe investments has led gold and silver prices to reach historic highs today. The price of 24-carat gold has reached a record level of ₹1,55,780 per 10 grams across the country.

Meanwhile, silver has also made a significant leap, establishing a new record at ₹2,75,000 per kilogram. Market analysts suggest that this surge in precious metals may continue until clear signs of peace restoration in the Middle East emerge.

US President Donald Trump has stated that he may visit Pakistan if the ongoing peace talks between the US and Iran reach a solid agreement. During a discussion with reporters at the White House, Trump clarified that he is prepared to go to Islamabad if a deal is signed there.

He praised Pakistan's 'constructive role' in mediating between the US and Iran. According to Trump, Pakistani mediators have proven to be highly effective in resolving this complex conflict, leading to new dynamics in South Asian politics. President Trump also highlighted the economic benefits of a potential agreement with Iran, claiming that successful diplomacy could result in the US gaining 'free oil' and uninterrupted access to the 'Strait of Hormuz', which would drive fuel prices to record lows in the global market.

He noted that the recent drop in gas prices is an indication that diplomatic efforts are moving in the right direction. He reiterated his commitment to reducing the threat of nuclear weapons while also addressing the 'historic inflation' inherited by his country. Meanwhile, the visit of Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir to Tehran is being considered a crucial part of this peace process.

Munir has met with the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and the Foreign Minister, which is seen as preparation for the second round of 'back-channel' talks between the US and Iran. According to Qatari media reports, these talks are primarily focused on Iran's nuclear program. If this agreement materializes under Pakistan's hosting, it would not only reduce tensions in the Middle East but also prove to be a significant victory for both Trump and Pakistan in global diplomacy.

On April 15, the United States has implemented a strict naval blockade on Iran and has refused to extend the ceasefire. Nine ships have been turned back in 48 hours.

5,000 American soldiers are carrying out this crucial mission. The U.S. has significantly hardened its military strategy against Iran.

American naval military operations in the Arabian Gulf are now fully active. The White House has clarified that they are not formally requesting an extension of the ceasefire. Adhering to President Trump's key conditions is now in Iran's best national interest.

The White House press secretary, Carolyn Levitt, has firmly denied some erroneous reports that emerged in the morning. She clarified that the U.S. Has not made any formal request to extend the ceasefire.

All maritime restrictions related to Iran now apply to ships from all countries coming to and from Iranian ports. The new restrictions in the Gulf are specifically being enforced on all major Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. U.S.forces are supporting freedom of navigation for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and heading to non-Iranian ports. U.S. navy ships are continuously patrolling the Gulf of Oman and strictly enforcing all regulations.

According to U.S. Central Command, the impact of the first 48 hours of the American blockade on Iranian ports has been profound. During these initial 48 hours, no ship has been able to breach the strict guard of U.S. forces stationed there. Following clear directives from U.S. forces, a total of nine ships have turned back towards any Iranian port or coastal area.

The Lincoln Carrier Strike Group has released an official video of the USS Abraham Lincoln conducting flight operations in the Arabian Sea. The 5,000 sailors and Marines of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group are executing this critical mission to stop ships. American soldiers are present in this sensitive area with full vigilance and are prepared to handle any situation.

Regarding new agreement possibilities, Press Secretary Levitt stated that the U.S. still feels very positive about any new agreement prospects. It is clear that meeting President Trump's stringent demands immediately is now in Iran's best interest.

Meanwhile, CENTCOM is continuously enforcing the blockade in this maritime area while fulfilling its responsibilities. According to the White House, it is very clear that this strict naval blockade also applies to all foreign ships entering or leaving Iranian ports. U.S. navy personnel in the region are continuously fulfilling their important responsibility of patrolling without any interruptions. The main objective of these strict measures is to ensure that no ship can cross this blockade without permission. The strong resolve of military forces is evident in the current situation, as nine ships have had to change their direction.

All members of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group are carrying out their mission with utmost seriousness and focus. Thousands of American forces are fully present and vigilant, committed to ensuring compliance with international regulations at all costs.
