Gandhinagar, January 5; The Chief Minister's public outreach initiative, the Swagat grievance redressal program, is scheduled to be held on January 22, 2026. The event will commence at 11 am on the fourth Thursday of the month and will continue until all complaints are disposed of. According to the information provided by the district administration, applicants wishing to participate in this program must mandatorily submit their applications related to their grievances by January 10, 2026. It is necessary to clearly write District Swagat Grievance Redressal Program on the application form.

As per report, applications received after the prescribed date will not be included in this month's program. Matters related to service issues, court cases, compassionate appointments, and pensions can be presented during the Swagat program, provided they meet specific criteria. Applications will only be accepted for long-pending cases where the applicant has previously submitted a representation to the concerned office but no decision has been taken so far. For district-level matters, the applicant must submit the application along with a copy of the representation previously made to the responsible district officer.

Only those questions that can be resolved at the district level and are not pending in court will be taken up during the program. The applicant is required to present their grievance personally along with necessary evidence. No representation through a lawyer or any other person will be accepted. Each applicant is permitted to make a presentation related to only one subject, and collective presentations will not be valid. The district administration has appealed to citizens to submit their applications within the time limit while following the prescribed guidelines to ensure effective resolution of their grievances.

Ahmedabad, Dec 14 The Gujarat state government-run Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) has disbursed more than Rs 31.55 crore to support 2,106 cancer patients between the years 2021 and 2025. This financial assistance has significantly improved access to healthcare services for people belonging to economically weaker sections, officials stated on Sunday.

The relief fund has emerged as a crucial support system during times of crisis, particularly during natural calamities, accidents, and critical illnesses that often place poor and middle-class families under severe financial stress, as per agency report. An official highlighted that the fund provides financial aid for serious ailments such as cancer, heart disease, kidney and liver failure, as well as for organ transplants. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the fund has facilitated timely life-saving treatments, including bone marrow transplants, for 450 patients suffering from blood cancer and 1,656 patients battling other forms of cancer.

Beneficiaries receiving treatment at prominent institutions have availed of this financial assistance. These institutions include the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI) in Ahmedabad, the Nathlal Parekh Cancer Research Institute and B.T. Savani Hospital in Rajkot, the Bharat Cancer Hospital and Kiran Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Surat, as well as AAIHMS.

Underscoring the impact of this initiative, GCRI Director Shashank Pandya noted that cancer treatment is prohibitively expensive, which often forces many patients to discontinue their treatment midway. He explained that such patients can apply to the CMRF to receive necessary financial support. This assistance not only helps in extending the life span of the patient but also provides much-needed relief to the patient and their entire family. Pandya confirmed that under the CMRF, funds have already been disbursed to at least 450 blood cancer patients and 1,656 patients suffering from other types of cancer.

According to government guidelines, individuals with an annual income of less than Rs 4 lakh are eligible to apply for assistance, while the income limit for senior citizens is set at Rs 6 lakh.

Ahmedabad, November 23. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel directed a last-minute change in the venue of his scheduled public event in Jamnagar to ensure that a family could solemnize their daughter's wedding without any disruption. Officials provided this information on Sunday regarding the humanitarian gesture shown by the state leadership.

A family residing in Jamnagar had booked the City Town Hall for the wedding of Sanjana Parmar on November 23. While preparations for the ceremony were already underway, the family learned that the Chief Minister was scheduled to visit the city on November 24 and hold a public programme at the same venue. As per agency report, security arrangements for the Chief Minister's visit had already commenced, causing anxiety within the family that restricted access around the Town Hall, police deployment, and activities related to the official event might affect the wedding ceremony.

According to the family, their concerns were conveyed to the Chief Minister's Office, prompting an immediate response from the state leader. Officials stated that Patel instructed his team to instantly shift the programme to another location, emphasizing that the family's concern should be regarded as their own concern.

Brijesh Parmar, the uncle of the bride, mentioned that the Chief Minister personally contacted the family. He recounted that Patel told them not to worry at all and to proceed with the wedding at the Town Hall as planned, assuring them that the official event venue would be changed. Parmar noted that finding a new location during the busy wedding season would have been nearly impossible and the intervention lifted a huge burden off the family, allowing them to finally sleep peacefully after receiving the call. Local officials confirmed the relocation of the Chief Minister's programme without delay, and the wedding was solemnized as per the schedule.

Highlighting the state’s commitment to achieving the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s target of Net Zero Carbon Footprint by 2070, the Chief Minister said that the state government has placed special emphasis on green growth and green mobility. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India has successfully maintained a harmonious balance between ecology and economy.

He further said that during India’s G20 presidency, with the message of “One Earth, One Family, One Future”, member countries also prioritized sustainable development and green growth as envisioned by the Prime Minister.

Surat Municipal Corporation has issued ₹200 crore of listed, taxable, redeemable, secured, non-convertible municipal bond debentures. The Green Bond opened on October 6, 2025, and closed on October 9, 2025. Against the demand of ₹200 crore, subscriptions worth ₹800 crore were received. Hence, the bond allocation will be done through a draw system. In the retail segment, the corporation offered 15% of the total bond amount, i.e., ₹30 crore.

Welcoming everyone, Municipal Commissioner Shalini Agarwal stated that Surat Municipal Corporation is the first in the country to issue internationally certified Green Bonds. The amount raised through these bonds will be used for environmental conservation and green energy projects, including solar power projects, water conservation initiatives, and green transport infrastructure.

Managing Director of the National Stock Exchange, Shri Ashish Chauhan, congratulated the Government of Gujarat and the Surat Municipal Corporation for the successful listing of the Green Bonds.

Ahmedabad, May 23: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday inaugurated a 45-day adventure and tourism festival at the Dharoi Dam, located on the border of Mehsana and Sabarkantha districts. The event promises a host of thrilling outdoor experiences for visitors, aiming to establish the region as a world-class tourist destination.

As per agency report, the festival will feature activities such as parasailing, rock climbing, trekking, mountain biking, and cycling, offering both adventure enthusiasts and families a chance to enjoy the scenic beauty and adrenaline-filled challenges of the area.

The Chief Minister flagged off the festival by taking a speed boat ride on the reservoir. He was accompanied by Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera and other dignitaries, who also toured the site and inaugurated a newly established tent city.

According to an official release, the tent city has been equipped with 21 different types of tents and an air-conditioned dormitory with over 100 beds, designed to provide comfortable lodging for tourists. The Dharoi Dam area is being developed in three phases as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to transform it into a spiritual and adventure tourism hub.

Officials stated that the initiative will boost tourism through a blend of spiritual, adventurous, and recreational offerings, and is expected to generate employment opportunities for the local population. Last year, the state government had announced development projects worth Rs. 1,100 crore to enhance connectivity and infrastructure across a 90-kilometer circuit that links Vadnagar, Taranga, Ambaji, and Rani ki Vav.

Ahmedabad, May 9 – Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met with senior officials of the armed forces on Friday and assured them of complete support from the state government in carrying out their operations without any hindrance. The meeting was held to ensure close coordination between civil authorities and defense forces during the heightened security situation along the border.

According to State Minister Harsh Sanghavi, the meeting in Gandhinagar brought together top officials from various departments, including police, district administrations from border areas, and representatives of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Border Security Force (BSF), and Coast Guard. The primary goal was to strengthen inter-agency coordination and streamline logistical support for defense activities within the state.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sanghavi said, “The Chief Minister extended gratitude to the armed forces on behalf of the people of Gujarat. He reviewed the functioning of all departments to ensure that the forces face no difficulties during this crucial period.”

The high-level review follows the Indian armed forces’ precision strikes under ‘Operation Sindoor’, which targeted nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack. On Thursday night, India successfully intercepted Pakistani drone and missile attacks aimed at military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, and other locations.

Ahmedabad, May 9 – As military tensions continue to rise between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday to review the state's preparedness and security measures, given Gujarat's strategic location along both land and maritime borders with Pakistan.

According to Chief Minister Patel’s post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister inquired about the precautionary and defensive steps being taken in light of the current situation and issued necessary instructions. Patel informed the Prime Minister about the actions being taken to safeguard citizens, particularly those residing in the border districts of Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, and Jamnagar.

This high-level communication comes just days after India launched 'Operation Sindoor', a retaliatory strike targeting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following the deadly April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. Late Thursday night, Indian forces successfully thwarted Pakistani attempts to strike military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, and other locations using drones and missiles.

On Friday morning, CM Patel met with senior officials from various departments and armed forces to ensure smooth coordination and support for ongoing defense operations within the state.

Officials confirmed that as a preventive measure against potential aggression, a complete blackout was implemented for over seven hours on Thursday night in several areas of Gujarat's border districts, particularly Kutch and Banaskantha. Towns such as Bhuj, Naliya, Nakhatrana, and Gandhidham in Kutch, along with Sui Gam and 20 surrounding villages in Banaskantha, remained without electricity during the period.

Additionally, eight to ten villages in Santalpur taluka of the neighboring Patan district also experienced blackout conditions as part of precautionary protocols to minimize visibility from across the border.

Narmada: On the auspicious occasion of the Panchkoshi Parikrama being observed in the month of Chaitra, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the holy banks of the Narmada River at Rampura Ghat in Nandod Taluka on Tuesday morning. Surat, March 17 – The ‘Umapuram Dashabdi Mahotsav,’ celebrating ten years of the Umia Mataji Temple in Dindoli, Surat, commenced with the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Gandhinagar, February 3 – Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday inaugurated the trading of Sensex Futures and Options (F&O) contracts at the India International Exchange (India INX) located in GIFT City.

In a ceremonial event, CM Patel rang the opening bell to mark the launch of US dollar-denominated Sensex F&O contracts at India INX. Speaking on the occasion, Patel emphasized that this initiative would simplify investment in Indian markets for global investors and bring Indian financial markets closer to the global investment ecosystem.

“This development will further strengthen India’s position as it moves towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Patel stated.

India INX Managing Director and CEO Vijay Krishnamurthy highlighted that investors worldwide can now hedge, trade, and invest in India’s most trusted index directly in US dollars through the India INX platform at GIFT City.

Ahwa, November 15: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 37 development projects worth approximately Rs 102.87 crore during the state-level Tribal Pride Day celebration in Dang district headquarters, Ahwa. He also distributed benefits worth Rs 234 crore under various schemes to nearly 548 beneficiaries. The event marked a tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary, with the Chief Minister extending his greetings to the attendees.

Addressing the gathering, Patel highlighted the significant contributions of tribal communities to India’s freedom struggle and acknowledged that these communities were deprived of development for decades post-independence.
