New Delhi, Jan 29 (IANS) Munawar Faruqui, who took home the ‘Bigg Boss 17’ winner’s title, spoke about how his personal life was brought on national TV. He said that he went to the controversial show to entertain and not open up about details of his life.

During his 105 days journey in the show, Munawar faced several hiccups. One particularly being Ayesha Khan, who during her entry in the show as a wild card claimed that the stand-up star “two-timed”, “lied” and even proposed a “rishta” to a girl before entering the Salman Khan-hosted show.

Asked if he felt targeted with all his personal details out in the open, Munawar told IANS: “You definitely aren't ready for such things in life. When your personal life comes like this, you are never ready for it. I had gone to the show to entertain and it was not for bringing out my personal life like this. But no one has control over such things.”

“I was at a place where I got to know that a person had come and done this. It was an uncontrolled situation.

However, Munawar now feels like an evolved person as he stepped out with the trophy and Rs 50 lakh richer.

Does he feel evolved after such a tumultuous journey in the show, he said: “Definitely. Every moment of my life and in everything I feel evolved and good.

“And whatever I felt that I needed to better in my life or change and I will now be able to work on it and face it. I feel Bigg Boss has made me a better person.”

Now that the show is over, would he like to be in touch with the other 16 contestants, with whom he saw a love-hate relationship in the show.

“I am not a person who holds grudges. I am a person who lets things go,” he said.

Now, Munawar wants to reciprocate his love for the audience with entertainment.

“I am looking to entertain my fans, the audience that gave me a lot of love. My dream is to give them entertainment in return,” he said.

However, he did not share any details about him featuring in the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.

Munawar, who won another reality show with similar concept hosted by Kangana Ranaut, was often heard talking about how he wants to take the trophy to Dongri, Mumbai, from where he comes.

He said: "The trophy goes to Dongri only. I am happy it feels really good. This is a very good feeling that you have won a show like this and then won a bigger version of that show… Winning Bigg Boss… When you rule the TV, that happiness is unmeasurable.”

Mumbai, Jan 29 (IANS) Munawar Faruqui was declared the winner of the 17th season of the controversial reality show 'Bigg Boss' in a star-studded grand finale held on Sunday evening and went on till early hours of Monday.

Munawar, who started with a fan following with 6.1 million on Instagram and currently has 11.3 million, took home the trophy along with a whopping amount of over Rs 50 lakh and a Hyundai Creta car.

Having spent 105 days inside the house, touted as one of the most difficult places to be in, Munawar maintained the position alongside the other four top contenders Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar and Arun Mahshetty.

Salman also congratulated Abhishek and said he played really well.

Over his journey in the house, Munawar saw a great support from celebrity friends such as Badshah, Raftaar, Emiway Bantai, Ganesh Acharya, Karan Kundrra, MC Stan and Prince Narula, among many others.

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (IANS) Four days after winning Bigg Boss Telugu season 7, Pallavi Prashanth has landed in jail for the violent incidents that took place outside Annapurna Studio in Hyderabad on the night of December 17.

Prashanth, a YouTuber and his brother Mahaveer were produced before a magistrate late on Wednesday night. Both were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. They were subsequently shifted to Chanchalguda Jail.

Jubilee Hills Police arrested the duo from their native village in Siddipet district on Wednesday night in connection with the case filed against them for disturbing peace.

After the reality show host and actor Nagarjuna declared Prashanth as the winner, fans of the finalists went on rampage outside the studio, where the show was being held.

Fans of the two finalists raised slogans and clashed. They also damaged vehicles that were leaving the studio, including that of the participants. They also damaged six buses of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), a police vehicle and private vehicles.

Runner-up Amardeep Chowdary’s car was also damaged in the incident. He escaped unhurt. Vehicles of other contestants Geethu Royal and Ashwini Sri were also vandalised. Police had to use force to bring the situation under control.

TSRTC Managing Director V. C. Sajjanar had condemned the attack on buses and termed it an attack on society. The TSRTC officials had also lodged a complaint with the police.

Jubilee Hills Police had registered a case against Pallavi Prashanth, Mahaveer and others for causing nuisance and rioting under the IPC sections 147, 148, 290, 353, 427 r/w 149 and section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.

Prashanth and his brother were arrested from their house in Kolgur village in Gajwel mandal of Siddipet district

They were brought to Hyderabad on Wednesday night and after a medical examination, they were produced before a magistrate.

Prashanth, son of a farmer, is a popular YouTuber with over a million subscribers. His popularity grew further with Big Boss. He won the contest, defeating television actor Amardeep Chowdary.

Popular as Raithu Bidda, Prashanth won a trophy and cash prize of Rs 35 lakh.

'Bigg Boss OTT' will have its grand premiere on June 17. The star who is known for his amazing hosting skills and who clearly gives the contestants a reality check from time to time, in an address to the media on Friday clearly stated: "I won't let anything happen on OTT as well which is against our culture."

When asked what difference he finds in hosting the show for television and for OTT, he said: "I don't feel any difference between the two. The OTT content that you are talking about, I don't do that."

Salman Khan has been hosting the show for more than a decade on television and he is replacing Karan Johar on OTT this year. The show will begin to stream from 9 p.m. on the Jio Cinema App on June 17.

While the first season of the reality show was hosted by Karan Johar, the second season will be hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The house has been designed by art director Omung Kumar and production designer Vanita Garud Kumar, the theme of the 'strange house' takes centre stage due to its captivating design.

Omung Kumar, who is known both as a renowned director for films such as 'Mary Kom' and 'Sarbjit', has also worked as a longtime art director in various movies such as 'Black', 'Saawariya' and 'Waqt: The Race Against Time'.

Featuring recycled elements, plastic bottles have found an all new purpose as they seamlessly blend with the other decorative elements like lamps and chandeliers. This creative decor features artistic sustainability and spirit of innovation. This is further showcased by the design of the entrance and the bedroom to its grand dining area.

Innovation is further shown in the kitchen as it incorporates egg cartons on the walls, adding a touch of quirkiness to its unique shape, design and texture. Cannes, May 25 (IANS) In a candid interview with 'Deadline' at Cannes, Sunny Leone talked about how one call from 'Bigg Boss' enabled her to transition from an adult film star of some 12 year's standing (2001-13) to a mainstream film star with 30 projects behind her, walking the red carpet of the world's most prestigious film festival.
