There will come a time where no job is needed as AI will be the “most disruptive force in history”, he told Sunak in a wide-ranging conversation here late on Thursday, reports the BBC

AI will be smarter than the smartest human, said Musk.

"We are seeing the most destructive force in history here. You can have a job if you want one for personal satisfaction but AI will do everything,” he added.

"It's both good and bad -- one of the challenges in the future will be how do we find meaning in life," the X owner added.

He said that there is a safety concern, especially with humanoid robots.

“At least a car can't chase you into a building or up a tree," he told the audience.

Sunak replied: "You're not selling this."

The UK Prime Minister had an "in conversation" event with the billionaire after the successful AI safety summit attended by more than 100 world leaders.

Throughout the wide-ranging and chummy discussion, Musk held court as the Prime Minister asked most of the questions.

The event was held in a lavish hall in central London's Lancaster House.

There was also agreement on the possibilities AI presents for youth learning, with Musk saying it could be "the best and most patient tutor”.

As concerns grow about the disruption that AI might bring, India, along with 27 other countries, including the US and the UK, and the European Union, have signed a declaration pledging to work on the assessment of risks linked with AI at the first-ever 'AI Safety Summit' hosted by Sunak.

This marks a significant moment as Morari Bapu conducts his 921st recital, titled ‘Manas Vishwavidyalay,’ on the grounds of Cambridge University, making it the pioneering instance of a Hindu programme held at a British university.

A practitioner of Hinduism and the first Prime Minister of Indian descent in Britain, Rishi Sunak made a floral offering to Morari Bapu’s Vyas Peeth making a salutation of “Jai Siya Ram”.

Opening his speech, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, “It is truly an honour and pleasure to be here today at Morari Bapu’s Ram Katha at the University of Cambridge on Indian Independence Day. Bapu, I am here today not as a prime minister but as a Hindu! For me faith is very personal. It guides me in every aspect of my life. Being Prime Minister is a great honour, but it is not an easy job. There are difficult decisions to make, hard choices to confront and our faith gives me courage, strength, and resilience to do the best that I can for our country.”

“For me, it was a wonderful and special moment to light diyas for Diwali outside 11 Downing Street back when I was Chancellor. And just like Bapu has a Golden Hanuman in his background, I am proud that a Golden Ganesha sits gleefully on my desk at 10 Downing Street,” he said, commenting on Hanuman’s image behind Vyaspeetha, adding, “It is a constant reminder to me about listening and reflecting on issues before acting!”

Rishi Sunak said that he was proud to be British and proud to be Hindu. He recalled his childhood and growing up years in South Hampton where he visited his neighbourhood temple with his siblings and participated in rituals like havans, pujas, artis, and distribution of prasad with his family.

“Our values and what I see Bapu does each day of his life are the values of selfless service, devotion and keeping faith. But perhaps the greatest value is duty or seva, as we know it. These Hindu values are very much shared British values.”

“I leave here today remembering the Ramayana that Bapu speaks on, but also the Bhagavad Gita and the Hanuman Chalisa. And for me, Lord Ram will always be an inspirational figure to face life’s challenges with courage, to govern with humility and to work selflessly.”

“Bapu, with your blessings, I aspire to lead in accordance with how our scriptures have taught leaders to lead,” he said emphatically.

“Thank you Bapu for everything that you do. Your teaching of truth, love and compassion are more relevant now than they have ever been,” Rishi Sunak stated.

PM Rishi Sunak concluded by lauding Bapu’s inspiring work and limitless stamina and devotion, citing the recently concluded Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra that covered over 12000 kilometres. Later, the PM participated in the Aarti on stage.

In extending a warm welcome to the British Prime Minister, Morari Bapu invoked the blessings of Lord Hanuman, seeking boundless strength to facilitate his devoted service to the people of Britain. Bapu expressed his earnest desire that every citizen of the nation may reap the benefits and rewards stemming from the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership.

In his opening remarks of the Katha, Morari Bapu had hailed Prime Minister Rishi Sunak not merely as the head of the nation, but as an individual of Indian descent. Bapu also shared that Rishi Sunak’s name is derived from the revered sage Rishi Shaunak, and this connection to an esteemed sage resonates deeply with Indians who find great joy in witnessing a leader with such roots occupy the prime ministerial role.

The spiritual luminary also commended Rishi Sunak’s gesture of offering food as prasad to 50-100 volunteers before to attending the event, highlighting its alignment with intrinsic Indian traditions. Bapu acknowledged that while Prime Minister Rishi Sunak typically refrains from accepting gifts, he chose to present a consecrated Shivlinga from Somnath as a token, a sacred offering from the Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra.

In the morning before the Katha, Morari Bapu had unfurled the Indian Tricolour at Cambridge University, symbolizing 76 years of Indian Independence as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

Morari Bapu’s enlightening Katha commenced on August 12 with a warm reception by Sonita Alleyne OBE, the 41st Master and the first woman to lead Jesus College since its inception in 1496, along with Lord Dolar Popat, a distinguished Conservative peer at the House of Lords, representing the organizing family.

London, March 21 (IANS) A group of international students, including many Indians, who had their visas revoked almost 10 years ago after accusations of cheating in English language tests in the UK, have called on British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to help them clear their names after years of living in limbo.

According to a Guardian report, the visas were revoked after a 2014 BBC documentary reported allegations of cheating at two of the UK's language testing centres for international students.

Following a probe by Educational Testing Service (ETS), a company that ran the test at 96 exam centres, the UK Home Office abruptly terminated the visas of more than 34,000 overseas students, making their stay in the country illegal overnight.

A further 22,000 were told that their test results were "questionable".

These students' were thrown out of their universities with immediate effect, and with no right to stay, work or in a few cases to appeal.

They struggled with homelessness, huge legal fees, stress-induced illnesses and many others returned home, according to Migrant Voice, an organisation, which is supporting these students.

After judges and watchdog reports highlighted flaws in the evidence of cheating, a few students won their cases, but many others, who are still stuck in limbo, will be presenting a petition to Downing Street on Tuesday afternoon.

The affected students include a 46-year-old Indian woman who has been separated from her children for more than a decade because her community asked her to clear cheating allegations over her before returning home.

It also includes an Indian man who is being sued by the company that sponsored him to come to the UK, the Guardian report said.

In their petition to the UK's Indian-origin Prime Minister, the students have called for a simple, free mechanism to apply for a decision or reconsideration of their case.

They also want the immigration record of every student cleared of cheating, and facilitate their return to study, or support those on work or entrepreneur visas to find new jobs or restart their businesses -- by removing barriers created by the cheating allegations.

"The students came here to get a world-class education and the best student experience in the world, but instead their lives have been wrecked. It is time for the government to step in and end this nightmare," Nazek Ramadan, director of Migrant Voice, told the Guardian.

According to a 2019 report by the Public Accounts Committee, the Home Office "rushed to penalise overseas students, and did not bother to find out whether ETS was involved in fraud or if it had reliable evidence".

"It is entirely unacceptable that, despite now recognising that hundreds of people maintain their innocence, the Home Office has not acted to put right the wrongs caused by its actions," the Guardian said quoting the report.

ChatGPT grills Rishi Sunak, Bill Gates in an interview

Taking the world by storm these days, AI chatbot ChatGPT has now interviewed UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, in which they answered a range of questions.

San Francisco: Taking the world by storm these days, AI chatbot ChatGPT has now interviewed UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, in which they answered a range of questions.

Bill Gates on LinkedIn shared the video of the interview, saying: "Rishi Sunak and I were interviewed by an AI chatbot and had a great conversation about the future. Spoiler alert: it's bright".

The AI chatbot's first question was about the impact of technology on the global economy and job market over the next 10 years.

In response, Bill Gates said that "we need to be more efficient because there is a labour shortage in healthcare and education. Hopefully, technology like AI can help us be more efficient."

Another question posed by ChatGPT is what advice they would give to their younger selves at the start of their careers if they could go back in time.

To which Gates said, "I was kind of overly intense and didn't believe in weekends, I didn't believe in vacations. I had a very "narrow view" of the working style, the talking style. And for the small early Microsft Group, that was OK, but then as we got bigger, I had to realise, as you get people with families in, you have got to think about this, it is a very long-term thing."

He added that he was intense on himself, which he applied to others who worked for him and likes to realise it sooner if he could go back in time.

Sunak gave a similar response, stating that he comes from an immigrant family and has always worked to get ahead. "Over time I've come to realise you've got to live in the moment."

The next question ChatGPT asked was what one aspect of their jobs they wish AI could do for them.

The Microsoft co-founder answered saying, that sometimes when he is writing notes, he uses AI to make them 'clever'. He also claims to have used AI to write songs, poems, and other works.

The UK Prime Minister said that it would be great if AI could take care of PM's Question Time for him every week.
