Mumbai, July 2 (IANS) Coming in with a roster of diverse contestants, the upcoming episode of 'MTV Roadies - Karm ya Kaand', shall present the awe-inspiring journey of Himanshu, a versatile and charismatic contestant from Chandigarh.

Impressing the leaders with his skills, Himanshu's story leads to Sonu Sood to have a heartfelt conversation with his parents, commending both him and his parents. 

Commending his perseverance and resilience, the actor will express his appreciation and say: "Your son is a brilliant boy and I know your blessings are with him. Ghar chote bade nahi hote hai, dil bade chote hote hai… Your heart and blessings are bigger."

The conversation will leave Himanshu's parents overwhelmed. A man with humble beginnings, Himanshu was born to an auto-rickshaw driver, and even with his financial limitations, scepticism from friends and family, Himanshu's determination was undeterred, surpassing all obstacles with tremendous resilience and determination to fulfill his family's dreams.

The 21-year old is not only a model but also a state-level basketball player, fitness enthusiast, calisthenics artist, and an entertainer. In the latest episode, Himanshu will impress the Gang leaders with his skills, showcasing his prowess in push-ups, mazes, dancing, and even serenading Rhea with a song, with Himanshu's humble background striking a chord with the gang leaders.

Mumbai, March 31 (IANS) Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, who has worked across multiple film industries in India, is returning to the youth adventure television show 'MTV Roadies season 19'. The makers of the show dropped the show promo on Friday.

Sonu was recently seen in Amritsar gearing up for the next season of the show.

Kickstarting the season's audition announcement, the video shows him prepping with some sugarcane juice for a journey that promises to be replete with 'Kaand', referring to the teaser launch, and logo reveal of the show's latest season - 'Karm ya Kaand'.

Excited about the upcoming season, Sonu said, "'MTV Roadies' has consistently redefined the meaning of adventure for viewers across the country. I'm thrilled to be back with a new season of 'MTV Roadies'. It's going to be a thrilling and twisted ride of entertainment, courage, and adventure - I can tell you that".

The actor also mentioned some mysterious additions to the upcoming season. Earlier, Sonu replaced Rannvijay Singha as the show's host after the latter's stint of 17 long years as the 'Singh Is King' actor took over the reins as the show host back in 2022.

With the theme of 'Karm Ya Kaand', MTV Roadies season 19 is set to return with its on-ground auditions.

Mumbai, Feb 18 (IANS) Actor Sonu Sood, who is known for his philanthropic work, was recently honoured as Gismat Jail Mandi near Kondapur, Hyderabad launched the biggest plate in India 'Sonu Sood Plate' across all 17 branches for the actor.

Sonu Sood appreciated Gismat Jail Mandi for coming up with such an innovative idea around food that'll only enhance joy among people. Gismat Jail Mandi founder Gautamy Choudary also added that it's named after actor Sonu Sood because the actor has a big heart.

The Sonu Sood plate can accommodate as many as 12 members of a family to feast all at once with a variety of food.

The plate has already become a raging success in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as families have flocked to the restaurant just to eat the Sonu Sood plate.

At the launch, fans were present at the restaurant to just catch a glimpse of the actor, click selfies, and thank him for his humanitarian work he's been doing non-stop.

Sonu Sood had served the people during the thick of the pandemic during both the first and second waves. During the first wave, he had made the arrangements to help stranded people in Mumbai reach their hometowns and during the second wave, he had arranged for medical essentials.
