Faridabad, March 3: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) recovered two live hand grenades from a dilapidated house in the Pali area of Sohna Road, Faridabad, following the lead of a youth linked to a terrorist organization. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Faridabad police late Sunday night.

As per agency report, multiple police vehicles from Gujarat ATS and Faridabad police arrived in the Pali area, with a heavy security presence deployed at the location. The arrested individual, identified as 19-year-old Abdul Rahman, hails from Milkipur, Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities suspect that he has connections to a terrorist organization, leading to his apprehension by Gujarat ATS.

During the four-hour search operation at the abandoned house, officials discovered two live hand grenades. The Faridabad police spokesperson, Yashpal Singh, described the case as highly sensitive, with both Gujarat and Haryana police actively investigating the matter.

Following the recovery, Gujarat ATS took Abdul Rahman and the seized explosives into custody for further interrogation. Security agencies continue to assess the situation, and more details are expected as the investigation progresses.

Faridabad Police has cracked a significant cyber fraud case, arresting 16 individuals and uncovering links to China. The fraudsters targeted local residents, collected money, converted it into dollars, and sent it to China, earning substantial commissions. Police seized a large number of passbooks, check books, hundreds of SIM cards, and cash amounting to Rs 14 lakh from the arrested individuals.

The investigation began after a complaint from a girl in Sector 15, Faridabad, who reported losing approximately Rs 7.59 crore in the stock market. Police Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Arya formed a team led by Cyber ACP Abhimanyu Goyat, resulting in the arrest of the accused from various locations including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Ghaziabad.

Among those arrested are Prashant Kumar from Bangalore, Sayeed Mohd. Jishan and Sayeed Suhail from Uttar Pradesh, Hari Kishan and Ram Singh from Rajasthan, and others from Delhi and Jodhpur. The police recovered a mobile phone used in the crime from one of the accused, Rahul, leading to the arrest of Rinku, Inderjeet, and Kailash. Dinesh Kumar was arrested after interrogation and remanded to police custody for three days.

The arrested individuals are from neighboring states including Haryana, with direct links to China. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the involvement of more individuals in the scam, indicating that further arrests are possible.

Chandigarh, March 13  - In a significant development, Nayab Saini, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Haryana, emerged victorious in a crucial floor test held in the Assembly on Wednesday. Despite the absence of key legislators, including Abhay Singh of INLD and Kiran Chaudhary of Congress, Saini secured the confidence of the House. The trust vote, which lasted for approximately two hours, saw the participation of 78 MLAs during the voting process. 

Although Meham MLA Balraj Kundu extended a welcome to the new Chief Minister, he chose not to support the trust vote. Gopal Kanda, the Halopa MLA from Sirsa, expressed his support for the government. Notably, five out of 10 JJP MLAs were present in the assembly premises but did not participate in the voting process as per the party whip issued by JJP Chief Whip Amarjeet Singh Dhanda, instructing them to abstain from the trust motion.

During the floor test, opposition members, including Congress MLAs, demanded a secret ballot and called for the dissolution of the government, citing its minority status. They argued that the BJP lacked the mandate to govern the state. In contrast, BJP MLAs praised former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and welcomed Nayab Singh Saini as the new Chief Minister.

Faridabad (Haryana) [India], February 3: In a groundbreaking medical intervention, SSB Heart and Multispeciality Hospital, Faridabad, achieved a milestone by successfully performing a hybrid procedure for a Type A dissection of the entire aorta. This innovative approach, combining both traditional surgery and covered endovascular stenting, proved to be a life-saving solution for a critical case.

A patient from Ghaziabad arrived at SSB Hospital with severe chest pain, alarmingly high blood pressure, and acute kidney failure. The diagnosis revealed a Type A dissection of the entire aorta, a condition with potentially fatal consequences. Managing such a case presented a unique challenge — neither a comprehensive surgical approach for the entire aorta nor endovascular-covered stenting throughout the thoracic aorta was feasible. The latter could obstruct blood supply to the brain and both arm arteries.

In a collaborative effort, Dr. Sudeep Singh Sidhu (Chief Cardiac Surgeon- Cardiac Surgery), a distinguished heart surgeon, and Dr. S. S. Bansal (Chairman and Managing Director SSB Hospital), a renowned cardiologist, devised an innovative solution: the Hybrid Procedure. The strategy involved a sequential approach where Dr. Sidhu initiated the debranching surgery, surgically connecting the brain and arm arteries to the ascending aorta before the dissection entry point. Following this, Dr. S. S. Bansal executed the endovascular-covered stenting of the aorta, effectively sealing the dissection.

Both phases of this intricate procedure were executed with precision and success, marking a significant achievement in the medical world. The patient demonstrated remarkable recovery post the dual procedures, showcasing the effectiveness of the Hybrid Procedure in addressing complex aortic dissections.

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out searches at over 15 locations in Punjab and Haryana in connection with its probe into the attack on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco in March this year by Khalistani supporters.

As part of the probe, the NIA on November 14 had requested for evidence from the US authorities under the mutual legal assistance treaty, according to agency sources.

The sources said that 45 faces zeroed in via CCTV footage scanning have been mostly identified through crowd sourcing.

On September 21, the NIA had released the pictures of 10 wanted accused in the March 2023 case of attack and vandalism at the Consulate and sought information about them from the general public.

The agency has also issued three separate “Request for Identification and Information” notices against the wanted accused, seeking any information of importance that could lead to their arrest or apprehension.

While two of the notices carry photographs of two accused each, the third shows pictures of the other six accused allegedly involved in the case.

The attack on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco had taken place in the intervening night of March 18 and 19 when some pro-khalistan entities trespassed into the mission and tried to burn it down.

On the same day, slogan-shouting Khalistani supporters had broken through the makeshift security barriers raised by the city police and put up two so-called Khalistani flags in the Consulate premises, damaged the building, assaulted and caused injuries to the officials.

In the intervening night of July 1 and 2, some accused persons had again trespassed into the Consulate and attempted to set it on fire while officials were inside the building.

The NIA had initiated a probe in the matter after registering a case on June 16 this year under several sections of IPC, UA (P) Act and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.

An NIA team had visited San Francisco in August in connection with the agency's probe.

Gurugram, Oct 16 (IANS) Haryana's Nuh district court on Monday granted bail to self-proclaimed cow vigilante Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar in a case related to the communal violence that broke out in the state on July 31.

The bail was granted by the court of Amit Kumar Verma, judicial magistrate first class of Nuh.

"Monu Manesar got bail and furnished Rs 1 lakh surety bond," his counsel said.

Manesar (30), who is also accused in the Nasir-Junaid murder case in Rajasthan and an attempt to murder case at Gurugram's Pataudi, will stay in jail pending bails in both cases.

Manesar was arrested by the Nuh police on September 12 and was taken on transit remand by the Rajasthan police on the same day in the Nasir-Junaid murder case. He was brought back by Haryana police on transit remand on October 7 and is currently lodged in Gurugram's Bhondsi jail.

Communal violence in Haryana's Nuh district broke out on July 31 and extended to Gurugram, Sohna, and other districts of the state, which continued for days. At least six people were killed, while 200 others were injured in the violence.
