The driver, who reportedly lost control of the vehicle while travelling at high speed along the highway, veered off course into a petrol pump compound. The vehicle scaled a 6-foot wall before flipping backwards into a field. Remarkably, the driver escaped this harrowing incident with his life intact, and no fatalities were reported.

The CCTV cameras installed at the petrol pump captured the entire incident, which has since gone viral on social media. The sequence of events, reminiscent of a movie stunt, has left viewers astonished. As of now, no police complaint has been lodged in connection with the accident.

The petrol pump, located near Samarwada at Dhanera, was where the high-speed car dramatically lost control. After breaching the petrol pump premises, the car's momentum carried it up and over a 9-foot wall before it landed in the adjacent field and overturned.

Identified as Azhar Shaikh, 29, and his brother Ajaz Shaikh, 30, the two were swiftly located using the car's registration number. Surprisingly, a check of the vehicle's history revealed that it had been sold to five different individuals before being acquired by an insurance company and then eventually ending up with the Shaikh brothers.

In a move to ensure the duo comprehended the severity of their actions, the police detained the brothers and later took them to the site of their dangerous escapade. Additionally, the authorities seized their luxury vehicle.

Umra Police conveyed their disapproval, emphasizing the potential dangers of such recklessness. They also expressed regret for the need to resort to punitive measures but underscored the importance of road safety.

Hyderabad, July 24 (IANS) A man died by throwing himself under the wheels of a moving bus in the city.

Shocking visuals of the man jumping under the wheels were widely circulated on social media.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Kondapur area. The man, who was critically injured, succumbed at a hospital late on Sunday.

The man is seen rushing in, bending forward and throwing himself under the rear wheels of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus. The bus driver immediately applied the brakes.

A passerby pulled him out and he was subsequently taken to hospital, where he succumbed while undergoing treatment.

The man was identified as Bisu Rajab (40), a native of West Bengal, was working at a private company in Hyderabad and is believed to have died by suicide due to personal problems.

Meanwhile, TSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director V. C. Sajjanar posted the video on Twitter.

The IPS official stated that it was painful to see some people resorting to extreme step on small problems. “Problems will not go away just by committing suicide. One should bravely face hardships and problems. Don't end your life in a moment and leave the families in endless grief,” Sajjanar tweeted.

The Mangolpuri couple's video and picture were shared on Twitter on July 16, showing a man driving the bike with the woman seated in front, hugging him tightly. The recording appears to have been made from inside a car.

Notably, the man ensured safety by wearing a helmet, but unfortunately, the woman was not wearing one.

"Taking cognizance of a viral video wherein the two-wheeler was being driven dangerously, @dtptraffic has booked the offender under appropriate sections. A total fine of Rs. 11,000 has been imposed. Please don't copy movies. Drive safe. Be safe," the Delhi Police wrote on Twitter on Thursday while sharing the video of the incident and challan slip.

SURAT - As the nation grapples with surging tomato prices, some devious traders in Surat are seizing the opportunity to turn a quick profit at the expense of public health. Footage from a CCTV camera showing a man collecting discarded, rotten tomatoes from garbage and selling them at cheap prices has sparked widespread public outrage.

In the footage that is making the rounds on social media, a man can be seen salvaging inedible tomatoes dumped in a tractor. These rotten tomatoes are reportedly being sold at discounted rates in the local market, with unsuspecting customers lured in by the low price amidst the overall tomato price hike.

Reacting to the scandalous CCTV footage, traders from the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) confirmed the severity of the situation. They noted that the footage provides indisputable evidence of unscrupulous individuals exploiting the current high tomato prices to sell substandard produce.

Kolhapur, July 8 (IANS) An autorickshaw driver in a hurry unwittingly dragged a woman passenger after her sari got entangled when she alighted at her destination along with her husband, police said here on Saturday.

The incident happened in the Rajarampuri area of this erstwhile royal town on Thursday, said Rajarampuri Police Station head Anil Tanpure.

“The woman and her husband got off the autorickshaw, and were just proceeding to their home nearby. The driver was apparently in a hurry and sped off, but the woman’s sari got caught on the rear-guard of the autorickshaw,” Tanpure said.

The woman was dragged for barely 8-9 metres and as her husband raised a hue and cry and other pedestrians shouted at the driver, he stopped to check.

Luckily the shaken woman - whose identity and age were not available - was unhurt, she got up and walked home aided by her husband, he added.

Tanpure laughed off as "fiction" some videos that went viral on social media claiming how the woman had a tiff with the driver over some reason, and he allegedly dragged her behind his autorickshaw for 200 metres.

“We have caught and booked the autorickshaw driver under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and further action is underway,” Tanpure said.

On Saturday afternoon (June 24), a delivery agent and his associate were robbed of around Rs two lakh cash at gunpoint inside Delhi's Pragati Maidan tunnel.

Interestingly, the tunnel is located near the Supreme Court, High Court, NIA office, old Delhi Police Headquarters and among others. 

The footage, authenticated by the Delhi Police, reveals the shocking sequence of events as four men on two motorcycles intercepted the vehicle and swiftly executed their plan.

As per the CCTV footage, on Saturday afternoon when the cab (white colour Swift Dzire) was making its way through the busy tunnel, two bikes abruptly came in the car's path, forcing it to come to a halt. Within moments, two of the assailants disembark and menacingly point their firearms at the frightened occupants of the vehicle, instilling a sense of fear and helplessness.

In an audacious move, one of the robbers swiftly opens the rear left door of the cab and snatches a black bag, presumably containing valuable belongings. 

The entire ordeal unfolded within a matter of seconds, leaving the victims shocked and vulnerable.

According to police, the victim identified as Patel Sajan Kumar, working as a delivery agent at Omiya Enterprises in Chandni Chowk, came to Tilak Marg police station and submitted a written complaint regarding this incident.

Kumar told the police that he, along with his friend Jigar Patel, was going to Gurugram to deliver the bag of cash.

"They hired an Ola cab from Lal Qila, and while on the way to Gurgaon on the Ring Road, when they entered the tunnel, four people on two motorcycles intercepted their cab and robbed his bag containing Rs 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh at gunpoint," said the police.

The official stated that based on his complaint, they have lodged an FIR under sections 397 and 34 of the IPC.

The officials said that police teams were scanning CCTV cameras in the area to identify the assailants. 

"We are tracing the route they took after committing the crime," the official added. 

New Delhi, May 1 (IANS) In a shocking incident, a SUV was caught being driven with a man clinging on to the bonnet for around three kilometres here, police said on Monday.

The incident, which was caught on camera, took place around 11 p.m. when the car was en route to Nizamuddin Dargah from Ashram Chowk. The victim, Chetan (30), a resident of Govindpuri, however, did not suffer any injuries.

The video of the incident is also doing rounds on social media.

According to police, a PCR call was received at 12.12 a.m regarding an accident at Ashram Chowk following which a police team rushed to the spot. "On spot, the caller Chetan told police that he was driving his taxi which was slightly hit by a SUV Discovery at Ashram Chowk," said Rajesh Deo, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast).

When Chetan stopped the SUV, the driver, identified as Ramachal (35) and a resident of the Dumri district in Bihar, attempted to flee the scene."Chetan then climbed on the SUV's bonnet to prevent Ramachal from leaving. However, Ramachal still managed to drive the SUV to the Nizamuddin police station with Chetan still on the bonnet. Eventually, a PCR van stopped the SUV and Chetan got off the vehicle," said Deo.

"On Chetan's complaint, a case under section 279 (rash driving) and 336 (doing any act which endangers human life or the personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) is being registered against the SUV driver," said the official.

As per sources, the car is registered under the name of Member of Parliament Veena Devi, but the car was in the possession of MP Chandan Singh at his residence in Delhi.

"Yesterday (Sunday), the MP Chandan Singh was in Delhi. After departing from Delhi for Bihar, his driver was driving the SUV when an accident occurred. Following the accident, the Delhi Police contacted the MP, who confirmed that the driver was his employee," said the sources.

MP Singh has announced immediate dismissal of his driver from the job.

Surat - A hit-and-run incident in the Dindoli area of Surat has left a young man dead after a car driver, driving carelessly, struck him as he was pushing a vegetable cart. The tragic event was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, and police have initiated an investigation based on the car's license plate number.

The victim, 20-year-old Ankitbhai Vasantlal Gupta, lived in Sai Society next to Priyanka-2 in Dindoli and operated a vegetable cart to support his family. On Sunday evening, Ankit was pushing his handcart near RJD Plaza in Dindoli when an unidentified car driver collided with the cart, leaving him severely injured.

Ankit was initially taken to Smear Hospital for treatment before being transferred to a private hospital for further care. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. In response to the incident, police have registered a case against the driver and are actively pursuing further investigation.

Surat - A baffling event took place on Monday in the Dindoli area of Surat city, where a woman found herself trapped on the window ledge between the third and fourth floors of an apartment building. The dramatic rescue of the woman, named Sonaliben Magdol, was captured on video, which has since gone viral on social media.

Residents of the apartment and bystanders were shocked to see the woman stuck on the balcony for an extended period. They quickly alerted the fire department and the police. According to sources within the fire department, they received a call on Monday evening about a woman trapped in the balcony of a building named Mark Point in Rami Park, Dindoli.

Rescuers managed to pull Sonaliben out of her predicament by hoisting her upwards through a window. The reason behind how she ended up in such a precarious position remains unknown.

The Dindoli police are currently investigating the incident and questioning the woman extensively to uncover the truth behind the mysterious circumstances.
