New Delhi, February 11 – Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone recently opened up about her childhood mischiefs and struggles with mathematics during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program. The annual event, where the Prime Minister interacts with students appearing for board exams, featured Deepika as a special guest, discussing mental health and academic pressures.

Prime Minister Modi shared a glimpse of the program on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, highlighting the importance of mental health and well-being in students’ lives. He announced that a special episode dedicated to this crucial topic would air on February 12, featuring insights from Deepika Padukone.

In the shared video clip, Deepika reminisced about her school days, describing herself as a mischievous child who often jumped on sofas and chairs. She admitted, “I was weak in mathematics, and I still am.” She emphasized how students often take unnecessary stress and spoke about her personal battle with depression in 2014, sharing how self-expression played a crucial role in her recovery.

Encouraging students to express themselves, Deepika advised, “Always express your feelings, whether with your friends, family, parents, or teachers. Even writing in a diary is a great way to communicate your thoughts.” She recalled a turning point in her life when she collapsed due to overwhelming stress, which later led to the realization that she was battling depression.

Deepika also praised Prime Minister Modi’s book ‘Exam Warriors’, stating that it promotes a warrior mindset rather than a worrier attitude. She expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for providing a platform to discuss exam stress and mental health.

Sharing her excitement for the upcoming episode, Deepika wrote on Instagram, “‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is back with its 8th edition! This time, we will also discuss the importance of mental health. I am grateful to the Prime Minister for his commitment to this subject and look forward to the episode’s broadcast.”

The special episode of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ focusing on mental health will air on February 12, aiming to inspire students to tackle exam stress with confidence and resilience.

Mumbai, Feb 6 (IANS) The recently released Hrithik Roshan-starrer action film ‘Fighter’ has landed in legal trouble. The makers of the film have been served a legal notice over a kissing scene between the film’s lead pair of Hrithik and Deepika Padukone both of whom essays Indian Air Force officers in the film.

As per reports, the notice against the makers of the film has been issued by an Air Force officer from Assam, Saumya Deep Das.

Saumya Deep Das has claimed that the scene was an insult to the Indian Air Force as the lead characters are seen kissing while donning their IAF uniforms. In his complaint, the officer has said that the IAF uniform is a powerful symbol of commitment to duty, national security and selfless service. He further said that the film misrepresents its inherent dignity by utilising the uniform for a scene promoting personal romantic entanglements.

‘Fighter’, which was released a day prior to the Republic Day in India, follows the dramatised events after the Pulwama attack on CRPF personnel, and how India retaliated by conducting an airstrike at a terrorist camp.

The story develops through the events following a terrorist attack. As the story progresses, they fall in love.

The film is written by Ramon Chibb, who was commissioned in the Indian Army in 1990 and is the son of an Air Force Officer. He served in the Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army until 1995.

Mumbai, Jan 15 (IANS) The high-octane trailer of the upcoming Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Air Force action film ‘Fighter’ was unveiled on Monday.

It promises a solid action entertainer with lots of action, dogfights and high-adrenaline shots of the fighter aircraft in action peppered generously with bonding between the best pilots of the Indian Air Force.

The trailer begins with quick shots of the aircraft as the audience are introduced to the fighter pilots and their banter. The trailer encapsulates the camaraderie, courage and sacrifices of these heroes. And it goes goes on to paint a vibrant picture of friendship until a terrorist attack on the Indian forces in Pulwama sends the heroes into action to avenge the attack.

The film has been helmed by Siddharth Anand, who is known for his hit films ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’.

Presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, 'Fighter', according to its promo, is set to redefine cinematic excellence with a thrilling combination of adrenaline-pumping action sequences along with the spirit of patriotism, offering a perfect blend of entertainment and emotion.

Mumbai, Dec 22 (IANS) After the party anthem, 'Sher Khul Gaye' from the upcoming Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Fighter', the makers on Friday released another song titled 'Ishq Jaisa Kuch' of the film.

The song radiates romance as it buzzes with the palpable chemistry between Hrithik and Deepika.

It is set against picturesque landscapes, and has a melody at its heart that resonates deeply with the listener.

Sonically, it has a vibe similar to Daft Punk with punchy and groovy guitar line and reminds of 'Ghungroo Toot Gaye' from the Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'War'.

Hrithik took to his Instagram on Friday and shared the song. He wrote in the caption, "Hai ishq?... Ya hai woh… #IshqJaisaKuch. SONG OUT NOW! Catch the FULL song ONLY on the BIG screen."

The song has been composed by music director duo Vishal & Sheykhar and has been crooned by Shilpa Rao, and Mellow D with lyrics furnished by Kumaar.

The choreography for the song is done by dynamic duo Bosco and Caesar.

Mumbai, Oct 23 (IANS) First episode of the 8th season of the popular chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ will feature star-couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. During the course of the episode, it’s revealed that the two were secretly engaged as Ranveer goes on to say that he proposed to Deepika in 2015.

The episode promo shows Ranveer and Deepika in a fun banter as they go on to poke fun at the game format this time and also the show host Karan Johar, Ranveer even goes on to call KJo, a “tharki uncle”.

Karan Johar asks the two if they were secretly engaged, and Ranveer Singh has no qualms in admitting that. He said, “In 2015, I proposed to her, iske pehle ki koi aur aa jaye mein jaake chappal rakh deta hoon (sic)”.

Deepika Padukone reveals, “I am married to Rocky Randhawa” when asked if she would date Rocky Randhawa.

Moreover, when asked who she shares a good chemistry with other than her beloved husband, Deepika says, “I think I have amazing chemistry with Hrithik, which everyone is going to see”.

Amid the interview, Deepika got a surprise visit from her husband Ranveer and he called it a "cosmic" coincidence as she was about to discuss her marriage in the interview.

As he entered, he gave a soft kiss on Deepika's lips and said that he dropped to say hi as he was shooting next door. He just wished her "Have a great day" and starts to leave.

However, Deepika told him about how his arrival coincided with the question about marriage.

He said, "what a cosmic thing to have happened."

As Deepika asked the interviewer to continue, she is asked about how long they have been married, to which
Ranveer said that they have been together for 10-11 years.

As they talked about it, they also held hands and Deepika said: "what are we doing?" to which Ranveer replied, "I just came to say hi".

Deepika then gets into the interview mode and talks about her romantic married life.

"I love spending time, my husband and I. I married my best friend. I think the fact that we are just so goofy with each other. I can feel like absolutely myself, my most vulnerable, my most clumsy, my most expressive."

She called him, her "happy place."

The couple got married in a secret wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy in November, 2018.
