Bengaluru, June 13 (IANS) In a shocking incident, a woman killed her mother in Bengaluru and then stuffed the body in a trolley bag and brought it to a police station, police said on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as 39-year-old Senali Sen, a resident of NSR Green Apartments in Bilekahalli locality. She hailed from West Bengal and had resided in the flat for six years.

The victim was identified as 70-year-old Biva Pal.

According to the police, Senali lived with her mother, husband and mother-in-law in the apartment.

The victim and Senali's mother-in-law fought almost every day and at one point, Biva Pal had also threatened that she would consume sleeping pills and commit suicide.

The police added that Senali, frustrated with the daily quarrels, forcefully made her mother consume 90 sleeping pills and when the victim complained about stomach ache, she allegedly killed her by strangulating her with a dupatta.

Later, the accused had stuffed the body into a trolley bag along with the photo of her father, came straight to Mico Layout police station.

The police have arrested the accused and taken up investigation.

Mysuru, (Karnataka) June 9 (IANS) The Karnataka Police have cracked the murder case of a 75-year-old woman and arrested her grandson on charges of killing her. The probe revealed that the accused had kept the body in his car throughout the day of murder before disposing it of, police said on Friday.

The arrested grandson has been identified as 23-year-old Supreeth, a resident of Gayathripuram Layout in Mysuru. Sulochana (75) is the deceased elderly woman.

The police had found a dead body of an elderly woman on May 30 near Sagarakatte village in Mysuru taluk. The body was badly burnt and could not be identified. The police collected the hair samples and spectacle from the crime scene and had begun the investigation.

The investigation officers found similarities between the details of a missing case lodged in Nazarbad police station in Mysuru city where the grandson was the complainant.

The police got suspicious about the grandson during the questioning. After thorough grilling he confessed to the crime.

The accused told police that his grandmother often scolded him. On May 28, an argument erupted between the two. The accused assaulted his granny and smothered her to death with a pillow.

Later, he wrapped the dead body in a plastic cover and put it in a carton box. Supreeth had watched a Korean web series to know how a dead body should be disposed of. The accused drove the car to the KRS dam backwaters and set it on fire after dumping it in a ditch.

The accused had told the police that he had driven the car which had the dead body of his grandmother all day and even went to the police station to lodge a missing complaint in the same vehicle with the dead body inside.

New Delhi, June 9 (IANS) A 22-year-old man has been arrested for killing a teenager during a birthday celebration at a cafe in Delhi's Kalkaji area, an official said on Friday.

The accused was identified as Aman alias Babu Lal, a resident of Sudhar Camp in Kalkaji.

The official said that a reward of Rs 25,000 was also declared on information leading to his arrest.

On May 6, a case was registered by police on the complaint of Rahul Joshi, a resident of Nehru Camp, Govindpuri, Delhi wherein he alleged that he, along with his friends, was attending his cousin's birthday party at TDM Cafe, Kalkaji, Delhi.

A boy named Gulshan along with his associates came there and started beating one Kunal. Gulshan stabbed Kunal and one of his associates Aman fired on Kunal and ran away from the spot. Victim Kunal sustained bullet injuries and during treatment Kunal succumbed to his injuries.

The Special Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Singh Yadav said an input was received that Aman, who is wanted in a murder case, is hiding somewhere in Sunlight Colony, Delhi and he could be apprehended from there.

"Accordingly, a trap was laid in the Sunlight Colony area and Aman, the main accused, was apprehended," said Yadav.

On interrogation, Aman disclosed that Dinesh Pahadi's enmity was with Niranjan over selling of smack in the area, so he formed a separate group.

"One day Dinesh Pahadi instructed accused Aman that Niranjan and his group members Aryan, Saifi, Kunal would be gathering at TDM cafe, Govindpuri for celebrating a birthday. Accordingly, Aman along with other associates named Bhim, Akash, Arif, Uday, Aman Khan, Sachin and Gulshan reached TDM cafe where they attacked them and Aman fired at Kunal who later died due to bullet injury," said the official.

"Later on, Aman's friends were arrested and he was avoiding his arrest," said the official.

London, May 6 (IANS) An Indian-origin man has been charged with murder after he walked into a police station and admitted to assaulting and killing his 77-year-old wife in east London, police said.

Tarsame Singh, 79, appeared before the Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Thursday, and has been charged with the murder of 77 year-old Maya Devi, the Metropolitan Police said.

After Singh handed himself into a police station near the couple's home in Hornchurch, East London, on Tuesday evening, officers and paramedics rushed to the scene and found Devi with severe head injuries.

"She was pronounced dead a short while later at the scene," the police statement said, adding that her "next of kin are aware and continue to be supported by specially trained officers".

According to Daily Mail, Singh ran the post office along with his wife in nearby Rainham for many years before recently retiring.

Both Singh and Devi, parents of a son and two daughters, are originally from India but had been living in Britain for more than 50-years, the report said.

Devi, who was supposed to go on a vacation to Lanzarote next week, was a regular at the Havering Asian Social and Welfare Association (HASWA) community centre, where she practised Yoga and met friends for lunch.

"I can't believe this has happened and that she has gone. I saw her just a few hours before her death, it doesn't seem real that I won't see her again," Devi's friend Nirmala Leal told Daily Mail.

Leal said she had spoken to Devi a day before the muder, and she seemed to be in a good mood.

The three-floor end terrace home of the couple has been cordoned off by police.

Hyderabad, April 18 (IANS) A man strangled his mother to death and buried her as he felt her to be a burden.

The shocking incident occurred in Kamareddy district of Telangana. According to police, one Chinna Balayya killed his mother E. Balavva (80), who was ailing and bedridden, by throttling her with a piece of cloth and later buried her.

A few days ago, Balayya told his neighbours in Sadashiv Nagar that his mother had gone missing. He claimed that the room in which she was staying was found locked from outside.

However, a local public representative grew suspicious about his version. Beeraiah, a member of Mandal Parishad Territorial Committee (MPTC), lodged a complaint with the police. The police investigation revealed the shocking details.

Balayya confessed to killing his mother. He told police that she had become a burden for him and he was unable to take care of her. On the night of April 13, he strangled his mother to death with a piece of cloth. He then carried her body to a deserted place behind a rice mill and buried her after digging a ditch.

Police in the presence of local civil officials extricated the body on Monday and sent it for autopsy. "We have arrested the accused and further investigations are on," said Circle Inspector Raman.

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested an army man for allegedly murdering his colleague, Sepoy Pawar Prathamsh, last year in Samba district. The soldier was arrested on Saturday, and police sources revealed that the inquest proceedings were conducted professionally, taking into consideration all aspects and evidence, resulting in the registration of a murder case.

Sepoy Vaidya Khushreang, also a resident of Maharashtra, was arrested, and an AK assault rifle used in committing the murder was seized during the investigation under the guidance of the Senior Superintendent of Police.

In Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, a 30-year old woman from Soibug village was found dead and her body was found chopped into pieces. The J&K Police have arrested a 45-year old carpenter, Shabir Ahmad Wani, from Ompora area of Budgam district, in connection with the murder.

According to the police, the woman had been missing from her home for the past four days. After the arrest of the suspect, he revealed that he had killed the woman and disposed of her body parts in different locations, including the Railway bridge Ompora and Sebden areas.

The police recovered all the body parts, including the victim's head, from various locations, including the suspect's home. The investigation is ongoing.

The search for Batukbhai Kukdia, father of 31-year-old Mahesh Batukbhai Kukdia who was found dead in Kanesara village near Jasdan in Rajkot district, has begun. Mahesh was reportedly killed with a blunt object to the head. His mother, Rekha Kukdia, registered a crime under Section 302 of the Bhadla Police against an unknown person. However, the police suspect Batukbhai Kukdia and have launched a search for him.

The deceased was found in a wadi after failing to return home from drawing water the night before. According to sources, Mahesh's family had distanced themselves from Batukbhai due to his quarrelsome nature. It is believed that Batukbhai may have killed his son in a state of intoxication.

Bhadla Police reached the scene immediately after being notified and transferred Mahesh's body to Jasdan Hospital for post-mortem before moving it to Rajkot PM room for forensic examination. The police are expected to make an arrest soon after collecting all necessary evidence. Batukbhai has not been seen in the village since the incident, and his phone has been switched off since the previous night.

The body of a 34-year-old youth, Mahendra Sharma, was found in the drain behind Lakshminarayan Industrial Gate No. 2 near Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple in Surat's Udhna area. Sharma was a supervisor at an embroidery factory for the past four months and lived on the second floor above the account.

A tragic incident has rocked Rajkot, as a young man was stabbed to death by his wife's ex-lover and another accomplice. Kishan Dodiya, a 24-year-old resident of Gokuldham quarter, was attacked while eating at a betel shop near his house on Friday. Both assailants, including ex-lover Hiren Parmar, entered the shop and attacked Dodiya with a knife, causing severe injuries. Gorakhpur, Feb 26 (IANS) A woman killed her husband and two step-sons by slitting their throat in her house in Sahabganj in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district on Sunday. The accused woman has been arrested and the knife used in the crime has also been seized.

According to reports, Avadhesh Gupta, 40, had remarried after the death of his first wife from whom he had two sons Aryan and Pihu. His second wife Neelam hails from Sant Kabir Nagar and has a daughter from her first marriage.

According to sources, Neelam had relations with another man and wanted to get rid of her husband and step-sons. After committing the crime, Neelam informed the police that some people were attacking her husband and step-sons.

The police reached her house and saw Avadhesh and the two sons lying in a pool of blood. The police rushed the three to the hospital where the doctors declared Avadhesh dead. The two children died during treatment.

SP north, Manoj Awasthi said that they have registered a case on the complaint of Avadhesh's mother and Neelam has been arrested.
