According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Sisara, police teams were immediately dispatched along with bomb detection and disposal squads and sniffer dogs to secure the temple premises. However, after a thorough search, no suspicious items were found in the area.

The investigation quickly led authorities to the accused, identified as Tausif Patel, who was located near Bharuch railway station. Upon questioning, Patel confessed that he made the false calls with the intention of framing his relatives amid an ongoing property dispute.

The police stated that the accused admitted to feeling harassed by one of his relatives and claimed that his brothers had refused to give him a share in the family property. In an attempt to implicate them, he fabricated the bomb threat.

An official police statement confirmed that a case has been registered against Patel at the Bharuch City 'C' Division Police Station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 217 and 353. Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the matter.

"Homeopathy, for us, is more than a medical science—it's a way to connect with people and serve them with dignity," said a spokesperson from the Trust. "Anubhuti stands for healing that goes beyond medicine. It’s about restoring hope and health together."

The Trust has announced plans to expand the Anubhuti network further, aiming to bring quality homeopathy treatment to more communities across Gujarat.

Since few years, the Trust has also taken various initiatives to encourage budding homoeopaths by starting an internship program with stipend, arranging seminars on various topics of Homoeopathy, publishing magazine titled “Homeo Insights” etc.

As we mark World Homeopathy Day, the KJC Trust reaffirms its commitment to its mission of accessible, ethical, and heartfelt healthcare—touching lives, one patient at a time.

Mishra, a resident of Bihar, was reportedly lured into a honeytrap by an agent of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

According to Additional Director General of Police, Ahmedabad CID Crime, Rajkumar Pandian, Mishra, an aeronautical engineer, worked at a chemical factory in Jhagadiya, Bharuch district. After completing his studies, he worked for a company supplying materials to DRDO in Hyderabad. Mishra came into contact with an ISI handler named Sonal Garg through social media, who later trapped him in a honeytrap.

Mishra allegedly shared information about various Indian agencies and companies with the ISI handler, including details about the BrahMos missile. He also attempted to send malware to a company in Ankleshwar to obtain sensitive information.

Based on inputs from the MI Udhampur unit, CID Crime launched an operation and arrested Mishra. The investigation revealed a network of retired and serving employees from the Army, DRDO, HAL, and other organizations associated with India's missile systems involved in a conspiracy against India.

Mishra's arrest sheds light on the grave threat posed by espionage and underscores the need for heightened vigilance in safeguarding sensitive information related to national security. The investigation is ongoing, with more than 20 suspects under scrutiny in connection with the case.

Gujarat : Special Voting Booth in Shipping Container Eases Access for Aliya Bet Residents

Aliya Bet, a remote island in Bharuch district, Gujarat, with 254 voters, establishes a unique polling station in a shipping container for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, enhancing accessibility and participation in the democratic process.

Bharuch - In a bid to ensure every vote counts, the district election machinery has made special arrangements for the 254 voters of Aliya Bet, a remote island surrounded by water on all sides in Wagra tehsil of Bharuch district, Gujarat, to easily cast their votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. A polling station has been set up in a temporary shipping container to facilitate voting for the residents.

Aliya Bet, located at the confluence of the Arabian Sea and Narmada Maiya, has faced challenges in voting accessibility in the past. After the last assembly elections, the district election machinery once again made this facility available to voters, enabling them to vote near their place of residence. This initiative aligns with the Election Commission of India's vision that 'every vote counts,' emphasizing the importance of voting rights in a democracy.

The island, 17.70 km long and 4.82 km wide in the delta region of the Narmada River, is connected to Hansot by land but falls under the jurisdiction of the Kaladara Juth Gram Panchayat, coming under the 68-Kaladara-02 of the 151-Wagra assembly constituency. Despite being attached to the mainland, the geographical location of Aliya Bet presents unique challenges in providing basic facilities like polling stations due to the absence of state or central government buildings. Therefore, temporary arrangements, such as using shipping containers for voting, have been implemented.

The efforts to establish a polling booth in a shipping container were initiated during the last Assembly Election-2022 under the guidance of District Collector Tushar Sumera. The initiative was well-received by the Election Commission of India and the community. After the elections, the container is converted into a primary school, benefiting approximately 50 children from Bet who are currently receiving education there.

District Election Officer and Collector Tushar Sumera emphasized the importance of providing basic electoral facilities as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, with a commitment to further extend facilities as needed.

Mahamadbhai Hasan Jat, a resident and leader of the Jat community in Bet, praised the unique facility for voting, highlighting the challenges they faced previously, such as traveling to Kaladara village by boat to vote. The provision of the shipping container polling booth has made it easier for residents to fulfill their democratic duty.

Despite facing challenges in accessibility and transportation, the residents of Aliya Bet remain committed to participating in the democratic process. With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the special voting booth in the shipping container serves as a symbol of democracy's resilience and inclusivity, ensuring that every vote and every voter in the remote island of Aliya Bet matters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the bridge on September 27 at a ceremony in Chhota Udepur, attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The new infrastructure is expected to shorten the travel distance from Vadodara to Netrang and Dediapara in Maharashtra by 20 kilometers, as well as offer relief to drivers from difficult mountainous terrains.

This newly constructed bridge marks the 56th such structure across the 1,352-km-long Narmada River, which originates in Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, and empties into the Gulf of Khambhat. The project was overseen by the Vadodara Roads and Housing Department (Rural), and is the latest addition to a series of 55 existing bridges facilitating vehicular movement across the river. Madhya Pradesh boasts the highest number of such bridges.

Speaking about the construction, Executive Engineer Kamlesh Thorat revealed that the bridge is a PSC (Prestressed Concrete) girder deck bridge. It comprises 16 pillars and has utilized 12,000 tonnes of various types of iron and about 20,000 tonnes of cement. "With the quantity of materials used in this project, one could construct a 7 to 15-floor apartment with all amenities," Thorat said. The bridge has a total length of 3.5 kilometers and a width of 16 meters, with 900 meters traversing the river. The remaining segments measure 600 meters towards Asha and 2 kilometers towards Malsar.

The new bridge promises to significantly ease travel from Shinor tehsil to Nandod in Narmada district and Jhagadia in Bharuch district by reducing the journey by 20 kilometers. This is particularly advantageous for heavy vehicles, which will no longer need to navigate the challenging climbs of the Rajpipla and Dediapada valleys. The result will be substantial savings in both time and fuel for travelers and transporters alike.

With this development, the government aims to improve regional connectivity, thereby boosting economic activity and making travel more convenient for the residents of Gujarat and neighboring states.
