At an age when many are still finding their professional footing, Rajveer Yadav has emerged as one of West Bengal’s youngest CEOs, leading Yadav Investments and helping reshape the conversation around affordable housing and real estate development in North Bengal.

Born into humble circumstances and raised amid financial challenges in the early 2000s, Yadav’s journey reflects a story of resilience, entrepreneurship, and long-term vision. Today, as the Founder and CEO of Yadav Investments, he has led the development and facilitation of over 15 real estate projects between 2019 and 2024 and helped more than 1,200 families move closer to property ownership. His mission extends beyond business growth—making property ownership more accessible to middle- and lower-income families while showcasing Bengal’s entrepreneurial potential on a national platform.

Reimagining Affordable Housing

For decades, affordable housing has remained one of India’s biggest challenges. According to a 2022 report by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, millions of urban households still lack access to affordable homes. While urban growth has accelerated, home ownership continues to remain out of reach for many aspiring families.

Rajveer Yadav believes the solution lies in combining technology, innovative financing, and customer-centric development. Under his leadership, Yadav Investments has facilitated land and housing solutions valued at over ₹100 crore between 2020 and 2025, focusing on creating opportunities for families who traditionally found the real estate market difficult to access. Industry profiles have highlighted the company’s efforts in the affordable housing segment and its emphasis on simplifying property financing for a wider section of society.

“Our goal is not just to sell land or homes. It is to help families build security, stability, and a future,” Yadav has often emphasized in interviews and public interactions.

Building a Startup from North Bengal

What makes Yadav’s journey unique is that it challenges the perception that successful startups must emerge from India’s largest metropolitan cities.

Operating from Siliguri, a strategic gateway to Northeast India, Yadav Investments has grown into a recognized regional real estate brand with a network spanning over 5 key districts as of 2024 and a growing team of more than 40 professionals, according to the company’s official website.

By building a company outside traditional startup hubs, Rajveer Yadav has become an example for aspiring entrepreneurs across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, proving that ambition and innovation are not limited by geography.

Putting Bengal’s Entrepreneurial Spirit on the Map

West Bengal has produced some of India’s greatest thinkers, industrialists, and innovators. Yet, the state is often underrepresented in discussions around modern startups and emerging entrepreneurship.

Rajveer Yadav is part of a new generation working to change that narrative. Through Yadav Investments and his growing public presence, reaching over 200,000 followers across digital platforms as of early 2026—he is helping bring attention to the opportunities emerging from Bengal’s startup ecosystem. His journey demonstrates how local enterprises can scale while creating social impact and employment opportunities.

Beyond Business

Apart from his entrepreneurial pursuits, Yadav is also known for his philanthropic initiatives and community-focused work. Public profiles and online documentation have noted his support for charitable causes, including organizing housing awareness drives and contributing to initiatives that have benefited over 500 underprivileged individuals through financial guidance and support programs between 2021 and 2023.

This blend of business growth and social responsibility has helped shape his public image as a young entrepreneur committed not only to profitability but also to long-term community development.

Looking Ahead

As India’s real estate sector undergoes rapid transformation, leaders who can combine innovation, affordability, and trust are likely to define its future.

For Rajveer Yadav, the vision extends beyond constructing projects. It is about creating opportunities, enabling homeownership, and demonstrating that startups from West Bengal can compete on a national scale. With plans announced in 2024 to expand into at least three additional states and scale operations by 5x over the next five years, his trajectory reflects both ambition and strategic growth.

In an era where entrepreneurship is increasingly measured by impact rather than size alone, Rajveer Yadav’s journey serves as a reminder that some of the most promising business stories are being written far from the country’s traditional corporate centers—and North Bengal may well be one of them.

A senior government official stated that the draft of the new policy was made public in April for stakeholder feedback.

Authorities still need to make a final decision regarding the promotion of hybrid vehicles under the policy. The official mentioned that the government wants to include hybrid vehicles in the subsidy scheme under this policy, but there is some opposition from certain quarters. However, it has been observed that providing subsidies for hybrid vehicles has helped in the rapid adoption of electric vehicles.

The draft policy recommends a 50 percent exemption on road tax for hybrid vehicles priced up to 30 lakh rupees. Hybrid vehicles are powered by a traditional engine and one or more electric motors, with batteries that charge themselves.

The duration of the existing EV policy in Delhi has been extended until June 30. The official stated that there is a possibility of further extending the current policy, so approval of the new EV Policy 2.0 is essential.

It is reported that some unidentified attackers pelted stones at the Shatabdi Express (12003), damaging the window of the Executive Class E-1 coach.

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was traveling in that coach. He was en route from Kanpur to Delhi. The police are investigating the CCTV footage and examining the incident.

The incident occurred on Thursday night around 8 PM in the outskirts of Firozabad. A stone fell on coach E1 of the Shatabdi Express, where RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was traveling. It appeared that the train carrying the RSS chief was deliberately targeted.

After attending a ceremony, Mohan Bhagwat was traveling from Kanpur to Delhi on the 12003 Lucknow Shatabdi Express. During this journey, a stone hit the coach he was in near Firozabad. There have been no reports of injuries from this stone pelting.

Agra's ADG S.K. Bhagat stated that no one was hurt. The AC coach has two layers of glass, and only the outer glass was broken. Following the incident, there was chaos among the passengers in the coach.

Due to the stone pelting, the train was stopped in the outer area before Tundla. The police arrived at the scene to investigate, after which the train was allowed to proceed to Delhi. So far, there is no information on who threw the stones.

Police officials are engaged in investigating the matter and determining who is responsible for the incident. After the police investigation, the Shatabdi Express resumed its journey towards Delhi and reached its destination around 10:13 PM. Railway officials have stated that complete information will be revealed after the investigation.

The Meteorological Department indicates that favorable conditions are allowing the monsoon to advance rapidly, leading to increased rainfall activities in various parts of the country.

Currently, the most significant impact of this monsoon activity is being observed in Kerala, where rain is expected to intensify over the next two days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall of 7 to 20 centimeters in various regions of the state over the next seven days. Several locations have already recorded rainfall of 12 to 20 centimeters.

The weather department has also issued a forecast for heavy rainfall in several districts of Kerala on June 6 and 7. Continuous rainfall has increased the risk of waterlogging in low-lying areas, local flooding, rising river water levels, and landslides in hilly regions. People living in particularly sensitive and landslide-prone areas have been advised to remain alert.

The administration and disaster management agencies are monitoring the situation and issuing warnings and advisories as necessary. Officials have urged citizens to pay attention to weather updates and follow safety instructions.

IIT Ropar has announced a new B.Tech curriculum that will be implemented from the academic session 2026-27. The institute has developed a flexible, student-centered model by changing the traditional and relatively rigid academic structure, aiming to prepare students not only for employment but also for research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Under the new curriculum, students will complete most of their mandatory subjects by the fifth semester, while the last three semesters will be dedicated to advanced elective subjects, internships, research projects, startup activities, and interdisciplinary studies. The four-year B.Tech program will consist of a total of 160 credits, allowing students to choose up to 30 credits of open elective subjects. The curriculum has been designed in accordance with the National Education Policy-2020 and the National Credit Framework.

It also incorporates experiential learning, skill development, research, and social engagement as part of the credit system. IIT Ropar has also launched an interdisciplinary integrated dual degree program. Students with a CGPA of 7.0 or above will be able to opt for this option after the sixth semester.

Upon completing an additional year and 40 credits, they will receive an M.Tech degree in fields such as Data Science, Robotics, Cyber Security, Energy Systems, and Quantum Science along with their B.Tech. The institute has also made provisions for academic credits for research publications, startup activities, leadership roles, and national and international achievements. Clear pathways for obtaining minor degrees and specializations have been established, and the branch change process has been simplified.

The new curriculum includes humanities, social sciences, Indian knowledge traditions, ethics, communication, and life skills. Co-curricular activities such as NSS, NSO, music, and arts will now also be part of the academic framework.

The Director of IIT Ropar, Prof. Rajiv Ahuja, stated that engineering education should evolve according to the needs of the changing world, and the new curriculum will provide students with the necessary opportunities and resources to solve complex problems. The new framework will apply to the B.Tech batch starting in the academic session 2026-27.

Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand), June 3. The attraction of devotees and tourists towards the sacred Adi Kailash and Om Mountain Yatra located in the border district of Pithoragarh is continuously increasing.

Within just 33 days of the journey starting, a record of 30,016 Inner Line Permits has been issued this year. According to the district administration, a total of 30,016 Inner Line Permits have been issued as of June 2. On June 2 alone, 1,178 permits were issued.

The journey commenced on May 1 with the opening of the doors of the Shiva temple near Parvati Kund in Jolikong. According to statistics, 29,352 Inner Line Permits were issued during the entire travel season in 2024, and 36,526 in 2025. Therefore, crossing the 30,000 mark in just 33 days this year is seen as a clear indication of the growing faith and popularity of the journey.

According to the district administration, approximately 28,000 devotees and tourists visited Adi Kailash and Om Mountain between May 1 and 31, which shows an increase of more than 150 percent compared to the previous year. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Adi Kailash in October 2023 and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's yoga practice here in June 2024, this spiritual site has gained a new national identity. Since then, the number of devotees and nature lovers coming from across the country has been continuously increasing.

District Magistrate Ashish Bhattgai stated that the Adi Kailash Yatra has emerged as an important means of employment for the people of the border area. The promotion of tourism-based activities has strengthened the local economy, and the increase in employment opportunities in border villages is also helping to curb migration. The administration has appealed to travelers to carry necessary documents before coming for the journey, obtain weather information, and ensure safe travel by following the administration's guidelines.

For many in the television industry, Bhattacharya is best known as the producer of Amanat, one of Zee TV's most successful family dramas. Running from 1997 to 2002, the serial became a household name and played an important role in shaping the family-drama format that dominated Indian television for years.

However, behind that professional success was a personal journey that remained largely away from public attention.Following the loss of close family members and the untimely passing of her brother, television producer-director Sanjiv Bhattacharya, she assumed responsibility for raising his two young sons.
Today, the release of When A Met B represents much more than a literary milestone. It symbolises the fulfilment of a dream she refused to abandon despite years of challenges and responsibilities.Readers have responded positively to the novel's relatable themes, which include workplace relationships, emotional growth, friendships, ambition, and the realities of modern professional life. The story has particularly connected with young professionals who identify with its exploration of office dynamics and personal aspirations.

At the same time, older readers have found themselves drawn to the nostalgic undertones within the narrative, reflecting values, emotions, and experiences familiar to those who grew up in the 1990s.Industry observers note that Bhattacharya's transition from television producer to published author feels like a natural extension of her long-standing relationship with storytelling. Her body of work extends beyond television. Her short film Ten Past Twelve won the Critics Award at Manhattan Shorts India and received the Best Story Award at the Navi Mumbai Short Film Festival. Another production, Madhab, had its World Premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival in New York.

The launch event was attended by notable personalities including Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Arif Zakaria, and moderator Harry Anand, all of whom acknowledged her contribution to storytelling and celebrated her achievement.
