Indian Railways' ambitious 'Vande Bharat Sleeper Train' project is set to advance as the Chairman of the Railway Board, Satish Kumar, made a significant announcement regarding the initiative. On the establishment day of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), he clarified that the first prototype of the state-of-the-art sleeper train will be ready for testing within the next year.

A total of 120 trains are to be prepared under this project, which will make long-distance travel accessible with semi-high-speed and improved facilities. According to the Railway Board, this project is expected to be a milestone in modernizing the country's rail infrastructure. While construction is progressing rapidly, various speculations are being made regarding the exact launch date.

RVNL's Managing Director, Salim Ahmed, indicated that it could be ready by June 2026, while some technical experts believe that the complex design and stringent safety standards may require additional time for final testing. Notably, the country's first Vande Bharat sleeper train was launched on January 17 of this year between Kamakhya and Howrah. The railway's full attention is now on getting the prototypes of the remaining trains onto the tracks as soon as possible.

These new sleeper trains are being designed specifically for night travel and the convenience of long-distance passengers, featuring better ergonomics, modern interiors, and advanced safety features that will provide an experience superior to current trains like the Rajdhani Express. Currently, the Ministry of Railways has not made any official announcement regarding future routes, but there is discussion that these trains will be prioritized on busy routes connecting major metro cities. This project is expected to not only reduce travel time but also provide passengers with international-level facilities.

New Delhi [India], April 11: The IMS Jaipur Conclave 2026, held on March 29 in Jaipur, brought together doctors from across the country for a day of focused discussions on musculoskeletal health, sports injuries, and pain management. With over 100 participants, the event created a space where specialists from different backgrounds could come together and exchange practical knowledge.

Experts in radiology, sports medicine, surgery, pain management, and rehabilitation shared their perspectives, making the discussions well-rounded and relevant to real-world practice. The presence of Dr. Brigadier Kalyan Bibhu Nayak, Director of the National Centre for Sports Sciences and Research (NCSSR), New Delhi, added importance to the gathering.

This conclave was also significant because it marked the first time the International Musculoskeletal Summit was held in India. After earlier editions in Mauritius, bringing the event to Jaipur signaled a growing interest in expanding such academic platforms within the country.

The event was organized by the Jaipur Institute of Pain and Sports Injuries (JIPSI), under the leadership of Dr. Gaurav Kant Sharma and Dr. Prableen Kaur. Their aim was to create a platform dedicated to musculoskeletal care, sports injury treatment, and chronic pain, while encouraging collaboration among specialists.

The timing coincided with JIPSI completing five years. During this period, the institute has treated a large number of patients, including sportspersons, helping them recover from injuries and return to activity. It has also seen patients from different parts of India as well as from abroad, gradually building a strong reputation in this field.

The academic sessions covered areas such as regenerative medicine and newer approaches to treating musculoskeletal conditions. There was also detailed discussion on chronic pain management, focusing on non-surgical and image-guided treatments that are increasingly being used in practice.

One of the key sessions focused on the multidisciplinary management of sports injuries. It highlighted how coordinated care between different specialists can improve outcomes, from diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation.

The event also featured the first National Musculoskeletal Radiology Quiz. Around 50 teams participated, with several rounds held online before the final round at the conclave. The top three teams were awarded cash prizes and certificates, and the quiz stood out as one of the more engaging parts of the program.

Overall, the conclave provided an opportunity for learning and exchange of ideas. The discussions and insights shared during the event are expected to contribute to better patient care and wider adoption of multidisciplinary approaches in musculoskeletal and sports medicine.

The success of the IMS Jaipur Conclave 2026 reflects the growing need for such focused academic events in India and sets the stage for more editions of the International Musculoskeletal Summit in the future.

They are board-level priorities. We are proud to be the exclusive institution delivering the Resilience360 XP in India,” Mr. Ajitesh Basani, Executive Director, ABBS School of Management, Bengaluru.

“ABBS School of Management stood out to us as a partner because of their demonstrated commitment to curriculum innovation and their ability to move from concept to execution. The Resilience360 XP is designed for the next generation of decision-makers and ABBSSM is precisely the institution to produce them.”,Samhita, CEO, Resilience AI Solutions Private Limited.

New Delhi [India], April 09: A grand and spiritual event—Mahavir Katha 3.0—was successfully concluded with great reverence and enthusiasm at the capital’s prestigious venue, Bharat Mandapam. This event proved to be an inspiring endeavor to revitalize the divine messages of Lord Mahavir, dating back 2,625 years.

The special highlight of the program was the presence of the Jain saint Acharya Lokesh Muni, whose dignified presence imbued the entire atmosphere with spiritual energy. The responsibility of narrating the Katha (discourse) was undertaken by the renowned orator Rajiv Jain ‘CA’. His eloquent and soulful narration deeply connected the audience with the life, principles, and profound spirit of renunciation of Lord Mahavir. Thousands of devotees present at the event immersed themselves in this divine experience.

Addressing the gathering, Nominated Municipal Councilor and Director of the Bhagwan Mahavir Deshna Foundation, Manoj Kumar Jain, stated, “Lord Mahavir’s message of ‘Live and Let Live’ is even more relevant in today’s times. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji, has also consistently championed this principle. India has played a leading role in resolving various global issues, and it is hoped that India will take positive initiatives to help resolve the current global tensions as well.”

He further added, “Lord Mahavir’s three fundamental principles—Ahimsa (Non-violence), Aparigraha (Non-possession), and Atmashuddhi (Self-purification)—serve as the very foundation of life. We must adhere to these principles to foster peace and harmony within society.” Manoj Jain congratulated the entire team—including Rajiv Jain (CA), Subhash Oswal Jain, Anil Kumar Jain (CA), Pradeep Jain, and Veena Jain—on the success of the event. He offered special commendation to Amisha Jain, the program’s anchor, and also lauded the contribution of Pradeep Jain, who imbued the atmosphere with a spirit of devotion through his melodious bhajans. The role played by the organization’s member, Satya Bhushan Jain, was also acknowledged as pivotal to the event’s success.

Mahavir Katha 3.0 emerged as far more than just a religious gathering; it served as a powerful platform for introspection, non-violence, and spiritual awakening. As the program drew to a close, all the devotees made this sacred occasion truly memorable by raising the resounding chant of “Jai Jinendra.”(SGP)

Nitte University strengthens management education with industry-integrated MBA programs across campuses.

Mangaluru,(Karnataka) [India], April 08: Nitte University has announced admissions for its MBA programs offered through its constituent institutions, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management and Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology. Nitte’s MBA program brings together academic depth, industry engagement & practical learning and reflects a clear shift in how management education is being approached today. Employers are not just looking for degrees. They are looking for readiness.

Who is it for? Graduates from any discipline who aspire to build careers in business and management.
What is being offered? A two-year MBA program with a strong focus on applied learning and industry alignment.

When can students apply? Admissions are open for the upcoming academic intake.

Why does it matter? Because industries today demand professionals who can think, adapt and contribute from day one.

How does it work? Through a blend of classroom learning, industry exposure, practical projects and skill development initiatives.

The program is built on a structured academic foundation. Students are introduced to core management domains such as finance, marketing, human resources and operations. But the learning does not remain compartmentalized. Concepts are connected. Discussions often move beyond theory into application. Students are encouraged to question assumptions and understand the broader impact of business decisions.

A defining strength of the program lies in its industry integration. Through collaborations and academic partnerships, students gain access to practical insights that go beyond textbooks. Memorandums of Understanding with industry bodies and organizations enable exposure to real-time business environments. These partnerships support internships, live projects and collaborative learning opportunities.

Specialized labs and learning spaces add another dimension. These are not just physical facilities. They are environments where students test ideas, work on simulations and engage in experiential activities. Whether it is analyzing market data or understanding operational challenges, students learn by doing. That makes a difference over time.

The faculty bring both academic strength and industry exposure. Some have worked closely with corporate teams. Others bring research-driven perspectives. This mix creates a learning space where theory meets practice naturally. Conversations are often layered. A simple case study can lead to multiple viewpoints. That depth prepares students for common challenges.

The program places strong emphasis on continuous industry interaction and simulation-based experiential learning. Students engage in structured simulations that mirror real business situations, helping them test decisions and understand outcomes in a practical setting. Learning is further supported through advanced facilities such as the Bloomberg Lab, where students gain exposure to real-time financial data and analytics. In addition, the curriculum includes embedded training in in-demand tools like Tableau, Power BI, SPSS and Orange, enabling students to build relevant technical skills alongside management knowledge. The program also offers international immersion opportunities through university-certified global learning experiences, giving students exposure to different markets, business practices and cultures. Together, these elements create a learning environment that is both applied and globally aware.

Equally important is the focus on skill development. Communication, teamwork, analytical thinking and leadership are embedded into the learning process. Students participate in presentations, group discussion and collaborative assignments. Over time, they develop the confidence to express ideas clearly and work effectively in teams.

The diversity of the student community adds to the experience. Learners from different academic and cultural backgrounds come together. This creates a dynamic classroom environment. Discussions are richer. Perspectives vary. Students learn to appreciate different viewpoints, which is essential in any professional setting.

The outcomes of the program are clearly defined. Graduates are expected to develop strong problem-solving abilities. They learn to analyze situations, make informed decisions and adapt to changing business conditions. Students also gain clarity on their career paths through internships and project work. By the time they graduate, they are better prepared to take on roles across industries and functions.

Placement support plays a key role in this journey. Dedicated teams guide students through the recruitment process. From resume building to interview preparation, structured support is provided at every stage. Industry connections further help in opening up opportunities across sectors.

As industries continue to evolve, the need for adaptable professionals remains strong. Programs that combine academic learning with real exposure are becoming increasingly relevant. Nitte University’s MBA offering reflects this direction.

Admissions are now open. Interested candidates can explore the program and begin their application process. Applicants can apply for the MBA program through NUCAT, with registrations for NUCAT Test 2 closing on 16 April 2026. For those looking to build a meaningful career in management, this could be the right place to start.

So make sure to register at apply.nitte.edu.inbefore the deadline.

On World Homeopathy Day, Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra calls for integrating homeopathy into India’s vision of affordable, preventive, and sovereign healthcare by 2047

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 08: Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra, the founder of Dr. Batra’s Healthcare, the largest chain of homoeopathy clinics in the world, has issued a call to action as India celebrates World Homoeopathy Day, which is observed on the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy. He has stated that homoeopathy must be at the centre of India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 healthcare agenda.

India’s vision of a developed nation by 2047 demands not just economic growth, but health sovereignty — accessible, affordable, and preventive care for 1.4 billion people. With healthcare spending at approximately Rs 1000 billion in Union Budget 2026–27 (~2% of GDP), and nearly 65% of health expenses borne out-of-pocket by citizens (estimated at Rs 5000 billion annually), cost-effective, safe, and scalable systems like homeopathy have never been more critical.

“The question is not alternative versus modern medicine. The question is: what combination ensures sustainable healthcare for all? For a nation of 1.4 billion, the future of healthcare must be affordable, preventive, holistic, and human.”

— Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra, Founder, Dr Batra’s® Healthcare

 A Global Mass Healthcare System

India is the world capital of homeopathy, but the system’s reach is truly global. Over 200 –300 million people worldwide use homeopathy regularly, making it the second largest system of medicine globally and the third most used in India:

▸ 1000 lakh+ Indians depend on homeopathy as their primary healthcare system

▸ 300,000 practicing homeopaths and 7,000+ hospitals & dispensaries across India

▸ 280+ homeopathy colleges in India; 150+ training institutions across Europe

▸ 29% of Europeans use homeopathy in daily healthcare; 60% of Germans have used it at least once

▸ 49% of the UK population and 58% of Americans have tried homeopathy

▸ France: 30,000+ doctors prescribe homeopathic medicines with a 40% usage rate

Homeopathy was founded in 1796 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann a German MD doctor. It arrived in India through the court of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and today — 225 years later — its core principles of personalised medicine, preventive care, and minimal side effects align precisely with the direction where modern healthcare is heading.

India’s Healthcare Crises — Where Homeopathy Can Help

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): India bears one of the world’s highest AMR burdens — 297,000 deaths directly caused by drug-resistant bacteria annually, with AMR contributing to over 1 million more. AMR has risen from 29% to 47% with up to 61% of E. coli infections showing resistance. With self-medication rates at 66% and AMR projected to cost Rs 10 billion globally in direct healthcare costs by 2050. Reducing antibiotic dependence is a national emergency. Homeopathy helps to build immunity and reduce the use of antibiotic.

Non-Communicable Diseases: NCDs now account for 70% of India’s disease burden — a complete inversion since 1991, when infectious diseases dominated at 70%. India is home to 100 million+ diabetics, while 33% of adults are hypertensive. The economic cost is staggering: NCDs are projected to cost India Rs 323 trillion in lost output between 2012 and 2030. Homeopathy’s individualised, root-cause approach — safe for long-term use with no toxicity burden — makes it ideally suited for lifelong chronic disease management.

Allergies & Skin Conditions: 20–30% of Indians suffer from allergic rhinitis; 350 lakhs from asthma. With India’s skin treatment market at Rs 270 billion and atopic dermatitis costing Rs 140 billion annually to manage, conventional suppression via antihistamines and steroids offers only temporary relief. Homeopathy works on immune hypersensitivity and has demonstrated particular strength in childhood allergies, chronic sinusitis, and recurring skin conditions.

Mental Health: Over 60–70 million Indians live with mental disorders, with treatment costs projected to reach Rs 95,000 billion by 2030. Post-COVID anxiety, burnout, and social isolation have compounded the crisis. Homeopathy’s non-addictive, mind-body approach — addressing anxiety, depression, fear, and burnout as part of a single constitutional picture — offers a compassionate, stigma-free complement to psychiatric care.

Homeopathy’s Strategic Role in Viksit Bharat 2047

▸ Affordable Care: Low-cost medicines reduce burden on public health infrastructure

▸ Preventive Health: Constitutional and immunity-focused treatment reduces disease incidence

▸ Reduced Drug Dependency: Vital in the AMR era and for chronic disease management

▸ Last-Mile Access: Already integrated into thousands of Primary Health Centres nationally

▸ Global Soft Power: India can lead the world in integrative medicine and traditional health knowledge

“A Viksit Bharat will not be built in hospitals — it will be built in healthy homes. Homeopathy can lead that movement. Less toxicity. More immunity. That is the healthcare India needs.”

— Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra

The heist, valued at approximately ₹22 crore, has raised serious questions about security arrangements.

According to reports, the gold belonged to Sunilbhai Kishorbhai Fitchadiya, owner of the 'KV and Sons' firm located at Prahlad Plot Street No. 6 in Rajkot, and was being sent to Bihar through his employees. Mahesh Mamatora and Prince Rampariya arrived in Danapur with three bags filled with 15 kilograms of gold jewelry via the Saharsa Express train from Ahmedabad.

On Saturday afternoon, as both employees were leaving the railway station in an auto-rickshaw towards Bakarganj, they were surrounded by seven miscreants. Shortly after, other robbers arrived on a car and two motorcycles. The car had a police sticker, and the robbers were dressed in white shirts and khaki pants, making them appear like real officials.

The robbers identified themselves as customs officials and seized all three bags. They then left Prince Rampariya at the scene while taking Mahesh Mamatora away in the car to a distance before fleeing. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Khagoul police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

The police recovered a stolen car, a motorcycle, and an empty bag used in the robbery. It is reported that the robbers removed and discarded the GPS device from the bag, indicating that the heist was well-planned. Upon learning of the incident, businessman Sunilbhai Fitchadiya and his brother Jigneshbhai rushed to Danapur.

Considering the seriousness of the case, the police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage. Initial investigations revealed that the robbers had been following the employees from the railway station.

Meanwhile, the biggest question arising is why such a large quantity of gold was being sent by train and how the robbers obtained precise information about it. The police believe that this robbery is part of a well-orchestrated conspiracy and that the culprits will be arrested soon, leading to the resolution of the case.

Shah announced that if the BJP government comes to power, it will rename Karimganj district to 'Shri Bhumi', which will revive the cultural identity of the region.

He accused Congress of sheltering infiltrators for decades for vote bank politics. Shah clarified that the NDA government will not allow Assam to become a stronghold of infiltrators and is committed to eradicating the infiltration problem at its roots with the CAA and other stringent laws. During the rally, Amit Shah strongly objected to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's statement referring to BJP supporters as 'illiterate'.

He termed it an insult to great personalities from Gujarat like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, and Narendra Modi. He stated that calling those who do not support Congress illiterate reflects the desperation and degraded politics of Congress. The Home Minister claimed that the people of Assam would take revenge for this insult through the ballot box and would ensure the opposition party's bail is forfeited.

He described Congress as a party that engages in anti-development and divisive politics. Amit Shah praised the central government's historic decision to grant classical language status to Assamese and Bengali, calling it a symbol of linguistic pride. He appealed to voters to choose the BJP-NDA alliance for the security and integrity of the state.

Voting for the 126-member Assam Assembly is scheduled for April 9, with results to be announced on May 4. Shah expressed confidence that a double-engine government with a full majority would be formed in the state once again, fulfilling the dream of an infiltrator-free and developed Assam.
