The rescheduled exam schedule will be released in 7-10 days, NTA Director General assures students of transparency and fairness

The National Testing Agency's Director General Abhishek Singh announced that the complete schedule for the re-conduct of the canceled NEET-UG 2026 exam will be officially released within the next 7 to 10 days. He clarified that candidates will not need to register anew or pay any additional application fee for this re-examination.

The NTA is currently determining exam centers and dates in collaboration with its technical team to ensure that the process remains completely secure and organized. In discussions with the media, DG Abhishek Singh acknowledged that the agency takes responsibility for the disruptions in the examination system, which is why a stringent decision was made to cancel the exam to maintain integrity. He mentioned that the responsibility for a thorough investigation of the matter has been assigned to the CBI.

The NTA has appealed to the investigative agency to identify and take strict legal action against any individuals involved in the paper leak, whether external or within the department, to prevent such incidents in the future. The Director General reassured over 2.2 million candidates that the current developments will not adversely affect the NTA's future examinations.

He stated that the agency is committed to restoring its credibility and the trust of students, and the re-examination will be conducted with complete transparency and without any errors. It is noteworthy that this entrance exam, held on May 3, was canceled by the central government on Tuesday following allegations of a paper leak, after which preparations for a new conduct have begun.

Kolkata, May 12. West Bengal Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari stated today that reaching the Ayushman Bharat scheme to the last person in the state is a priority for his government.

Recently sworn-in Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari announced the implementation of the 'Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana' in the state. Under this scheme, the people of the state will be able to benefit from the central government's major health insurance scheme.

This scheme, operated under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare by the National Health Authority, aims to provide cashless hospital treatment facilities up to five lakh rupees per year to economically weaker and needy families. The scheme was launched in September 2018.

Congress failed due to its arrogance, betrayed DMK: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on Congress, accusing it of blaming 'the whole world' for its electoral defeats due to its arrogance and alleging that it betrayed its ally DMK in Tamil Nadu. While addressing a public meeting near HAL Airport in Bengaluru, he stated that while the BJP is achieving electoral victories, Congress, which had over 400 seats about 40 years ago, has failed to cross the 100-seat mark in the last three Lok Sabha elections.

He criticized Congress for its arrogance, stating that it blames the Constitution, democracy, constitutional institutions, and courts for its failures, and noted that he has never seen any mainstream political party behave in such a manner. He mentioned that Congress is so deep in its defeat that it has no option but to resort to abusive language. He emphasized that the welfare of the people is everything for BJP governments, highlighting that 250 million people have risen out of poverty.

He stated that the BJP's slogan is 'Sabka Kalyan' (Welfare for All) and its model is 'Good Governance', which is why people are giving the BJP a chance to serve them again. He pointed out that Congress governments in the states do not return to power for a second term, as dissatisfaction among the people begins within a year of their coming to power, attributing this to Congress's tendency to deceive. He remarked that Congress's guarantees are also false and that there is no chapter on 'Good Governance' in Congress's book.

He noted that in Karnataka, the government has spent most of its time resolving internal conflicts rather than addressing people's problems, leaving uncertainty about the Chief Minister's tenure. Modi also mentioned that during the election process in Tamil Nadu, Congress's ecosystem in Delhi was trying to mislead the country, and despite the results being declared on May 4, a government has yet to be formed in Kerala. He commented that this ecosystem remains silent regarding Kerala and is uncertain about whether they will have two chief ministers for five years or one each year.

He accused Congress of betraying its own leaders after making promises, citing examples from Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, and stated that the same is happening in Karnataka and Kerala. He expressed surprise at the situation in Himachal Pradesh, where Congress is unable to pay its employees. Modi stated that in Telangana, farmers are being driven to suicide, and wherever Congress is in power, either the treasury is looted for appeasement politics or there are internal disputes over the looted money.

He concluded by stating that Congress has become identified as a deceitful party, and whenever it gets a chance, it betrays its own leaders, emphasizing that there is no one whom Congress has not betrayed. He noted that Congress had a strong relationship with DMK for 30 years, and it was due to this alliance that Congress remained in power. However, he pointed out that despite this long-standing relationship and DMK's consistent support for Congress, as soon as the power dynamics shifted, Congress betrayed DMK.

Fraudulent IPL Tickets Made Using ChatGPT, Scam Uncovered Outside Ekana Stadium

In Lucknow, a gang selling fake IPL tickets using ChatGPT and Coral Draw has been uncovered. The accused had completed a course in 2D and 3D design and elevation through YouTube.

The Susant Golf City police reported that one of the accused has a polytechnic diploma while the other has completed high school. The gang prepared and sold fake IPL tickets, operating both online and around the stadium. Pradeep Singh, a resident of Urai, attempted to watch the LSG vs RCB match at Ekana Stadium on Thursday, purchasing two tickets from young men outside the stadium and making a payment of one thousand rupees via UPI.

However, the stadium staff found the tickets to be fake and prevented him from entering. Pradeep filed a complaint with the Susant Golf City police. The match on Thursday saw a huge turnout of fans eager to see Virat Kohli, leading to the accused exploiting this demand.

Inspector Rajiv Ranjan Upadhyay of Susant Golf City police informed that 15 fake IPL tickets, a laptop, a paper cutter, a car, 14 counterfeit tickets, 13 plain paper sheets, two Aadhaar cards, a passbook, three ATM cards, and a PAN card were recovered from the accused. The police traced the accused through the UPI transaction made by Pradeep.

The four accused, who are residents of Durg in Chhattisgarh, were apprehended near Dodankheda Chauraha. The accused include Shrikant Borkar, who works in car washing and design, Nootan Sahu, who has a polytechnic diploma in architecture, Vishwajit Sahu, who has completed high school and studied design through YouTube, and Rajendra Chaudhary, who also has completed high school and works in washing.

Delhi Online Betting: ED Arrests Three in ₹1,000 Crore Scam Case

The Enforcement Directorate has conducted extensive raids in connection with an alleged ₹1,000 crore online betting and money laundering racket across approximately 18 locations in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), Bengaluru, and other areas. The raids, which began on Thursday morning, continued until 1 AM the following day.

According to sources from the investigating agency, three accused have been arrested following the searches. The arrested individuals are Deepak Singh Ahlawat, Prithvi Kumar, and Vikas Taneja. Deepak Singh Ahlawat is a resident of Haryana, while Prithvi Kumar hails from Uttarakhand.

During the operation, the ED reportedly seized several important documents, electronic devices, and other digital evidence related to the investigation. Sources indicated that this case pertains to an alleged money laundering network linked to online betting and gaming worth approximately ₹1,000 crore. The ED's Bengaluru regional office has taken action against M/s Gamescraft Technology Private Limited, its directors, and several other accused related to the case.

Officials stated that several FIRs had previously been registered at local police stations in Bengaluru regarding this matter. Subsequently, the ED took over the investigation under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and initiated further action. The agency had also conducted a search operation last year in a separate but related case involving M/s Gamescraft Technology Private Limited and other companies.

Between November 18 and November 22 of the previous year, the ED raided the offices of M/s Directive Network Private Limited (NNPL), M/s Gamescraft Technologies Private Limited (GTPL), as well as the residences of their directors and other suspects. This investigation was initiated based on FIRs filed by the Karnataka police. According to the ED, the FIRs alleged that the gaming platform 'Pocket52', operated by NNPL, was involved in large-scale fraud, including manipulation of game outcomes, collusion among players, technical glitches, restrictions on withdrawals, and lack of transparency on the platform.
